I may have considered buying this if the writing was somewhat decent, which it clearly is not. This looks right on par with the horrendous Dead Space: Downfall movie...ugh that was bad.

This should be free DLC for Dead Space 1. Basic mini games wrapped around a NON interactive comic book story seems an odd one to say the least

i love Dead Space but this just seems completely pointless, no way im paying good money for this

That poorly constructed joke really killed the atmosphere for me with this game... that's what she said? really? and right off the bat... oh well

The minigame doesn't look that bad. It'll get repetitive pretty soon, but it's not that bad. Motion comics... argh. I hate them. And I live for comic books. But REAL comic books, not these awful hybrids.

There seems to be a theme developing.  
Both of the Dead Space spin-off games so far have opened with terrible, ham fisted sexual innuendo.

My guess is, someone made the mini game but in order to maximize profits they decided to shoehorn it in to Dead Space. The only thing about that video that even hinted at dead space was the back life bar. 
 
Dead Space Ignition will be in the running for the "Dude What?" Award for 2010.

The dev trying to get people riled over what's basically a mediocre flash game was a lot weirder than the shitty animation and the awful writing.

I mean, i could see the Wii Rail shooter, but what the fuck is this?

Just pretend this doesn't exist, like Final Fantasy X-2. We'll all be better for it.
 
With that said, I can't wait for Dead Space 2. You know, the actual game.

Starts too cute and the woman voice actor isn't really good. However, I really loved the pre-DS1 animated comic series, and this one is too clean in comparison. I still want to watch/play it, but the cost is prohibitive.
