Llamas are typically pretty chill, and those llamas probably spend enough time around people that the crowds don't bother them much.

My only llama encounter was in a petting zoo as a small child, and I was deathly affraid because she seemed huge at the time, and I'd heard that they spit. Of course, in hindsight, the llama was surrounded by rambunctious kids and was totally unfazed by any of it, so it probably wouldn't have been a big deal.
