What else can he say? I'm tired of it too but the only other selling point is multiplayer. "Plays just like Reach! One year ago! Remember Reach? Multiplayer is like that!"  
 
Maybe he'll switch it up and talk about the filters and gameplay in reverse order next time?

@avidwriter: good thing you're wrong. This is a re-release on the anniversary. Same game or a new mode that puts it in the Reach engine. I forgot Hollywood does that all the time.

Graphics, while better than Halo originally (clearly) still don't look all that great frankly.
 
Anyway I completed it twice or so and have no desire to go back, the multiplayer is just Reach with different maps as I understood it. Even if I'm wrong about that the original Halo's multiplayer was pretty sucky so I'm guessing they won't just be bringing that back with new graphics.

I'm still not sure I entirely want a $40 dollar version of Halo to play exactly like Halo. When it drops to $20, I might bite. But as to this, why wouldn't I just play Reach?

The thing here is that this has been asked for by fans for a long time. I constantly saw people saying things along the lines of "I would love to play Halo looking like this" With videos of Halo3 and beyond.
People loved the story and the setting of the first game, some more then the other games in the series. The pre-orders are high and this will sell very well.
One of those occasions where this is very much justified.

The original graphics better convey the dark and moody tone of the level, but I'm sure the rest of the game will be best played in "HD-mode".

I think this remake looks fantastic. The only thing I'm afraid of is that I'll constantly be switching between filters and forget to enjoy myself.
