Deus ex of duty

I'm interested in this game given how Treyarch redeemed the hell outta themselves with the BO2 singleplayer. I think it's also hinting that we're going to see some enhanced mobility stuff from Awesome Warfare in the MP.

I'm not sure that Call of Duty is the place I would go for thoughtful commentary on anything. Then again I haven't played any of these games since Modern Warfare 2.

It's a good trailer, but is it even possible to change the gameplay formula at this point? Also it's getting really silly how these different Call of Duty dev houses are all circling the same topics. Like hey this year Treyarch is gonna take a crack at the near future cyberwarfare stuff. Don't worry Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer are already waiting to pitch their take on the exact same subject matter.

This is the 10th Call of Duty. Missed opportunity to do an X in the title.

Ugh. They might as well call this CoD: More Advanced Warfare. I'm tired of them going future-er war in setting. I passed on AW for this reason, and it looks like I'll pass on this one, too. Having not-Snowden warn us about not-Skynet just isn't tickling my fancy.

I will say the trailer was well-done, though.

I'm completely fine with them just making Deus Ex. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the actual game looks like. Hoping it'll have that Treyarch insanity to it.

Haven't been this excited for a CoD for a long time. That trailer was pretty awesome. Although, I've always been a huge sucker for the Deus Ex theme.

There are a lot of parts of this trailer where I can't tell if its CGI or Real people.

So. Main character dude is badass military man a la J.C Denton. He spends some time doing the government's dirty work until he meets someone who's basically Lebedev and learns that everything he's been doing is evil. Military Badass main character man joins the resistance and fights the government with their own augmentation technology.

@xanatos357: Oh yeah, I wiki'd it and misunderstood. There were more branches underneath Bops 3, namely Ghost and Adv Warfare. Guess they up to 12 with this one, not counting lesser off-shoots.

Ghost in the Shell is pretty cool.

The big reveal being that that was ALL 3D rendered in-engine.

@klager: To be fair, it's not like Deus Ex was treading new ground in science fiction.

I wish James Cameron did a Terminator movie around this theme, he had different ideas of how technology would progress in the future, in the Terminator 2 ride at Universal.

If we knew it wasn't Black Ops 3, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would have thought it was Mankind Divided... That's fine, it's an interesting subject. Say what you will about what Black Ops did for story in Call of Duty, and.or how it let you have some choice in the last one, I was never really a big fan of the Black Ops campaigns. Hopefully this'll be good though.
