Impressive looking cars! As much as I doubt I'll be getting the Xbox One (at least, near launch), I'm always impressed by racing game visuals.

At least on console, that is. Not very many racing games that aim for this sort of eye candy on pc.

Side Note: Does anyone else doubt the graphical fidelity of this trailer represents the final product?

It looks nice, but that can't be in-game footage, can it?

Even as a huge fan of the Forza games, I really don't care until there's actual gameplay.

I was going to get Forza 4 but I think I'll just wait.

Forza 4 still looks bloody excellent. The vistas and skybox need work, but we're getting pretty damn close to serious graphical realism in the driving genre, alongside the already stellar driving simulation.

I would say it better represent the final product, if not, what's the point of next-gen? Racing games already look good on current systems.

I would have been so much more interested in like 30 seconds of time trial on that same track, in game, with hud, swapping through the view modes. I would have bought F5 anyway, this doesn't really tell people like me anything.

I will buy Forza 5, no reason to think the series won't continue to be excellent.

Anyone know who the annoying Geordie commentator is? I'm sure I recognise his voice.

I realize this might all be pre-rendered, and if it isn't, I'm aware that driving games are a bit dishonest when showing rendering horsepower, but I'm still a complete sucker for this stuff.

Forza 5 is the only game on my list of Day One pickups right now. I hope it has good racing wheel support for stuff already out there.

This just makes sony look pretty dumb announcing GT6 for the PS3. Imagine how long until GT7 Prologue is out for the PS4. 4 years? 5?

The only determination of a good racing game is if you cannot spot a duplicate fan in the stands.

You're probably just not a hardcore enthousiast? I mean, I like realistic racing games, it's just that almost as a rule of trying to be realistic, they can't mix it up that much between installments. I owned GT3, Forza 2 and Forza 4 and while in that order it were incrementally better games, I never felt anything changed that much...?

I think enthousiasts probably go nuts for whatever is changed though.

But it's fine. You don't have to like everything right? I still get two realistic driving games each generation it seems and that number is just fine for me.

The environment is still square-ish, this is not next gen yet...

Looks nice but we will have to see it actually running. Forza 4 already looked quite good when it came to car models. For this, hopefully they will work on the environments more because some of them looked pretty bad. Sharpening everything up and still running at 60 FPS will be nice too.

The only thing that got me even remotely interested in the console. That and the talk of a HALO TV series involving Steven Spielberg.

I am way more interested to see what the follow-up to Forza Horizon looks like. This will probably be fine though and I will probably grab it at launch.

@thehbk: Gran Turismo 4 came out at the very end of last generation and it was pretty great.

It would be real nice of Microsoft to allow me to continue using my old racing wheel with the new system. I highly doubt it though.

I agree. I think my biggest concern is the physics engine. While I played FM4 MUCH more than GT5 for a number of reasons, I still think GT5 have the better core driving model. I think GT6 has a chance to shake things up again. Either way, we all win due to close competition.

It's hard to get excited over a Forza trailer when their trailers in the past have been complete bullshot. The marketing for Forza 4 was just gross.

"Yeah, it's all in engine footage! ....if you spend hours rendering your replay out in 30 seconds chunks and stitch them all together... Yup, in engine! Did you see those sweet car models at the main menu? Yup, in engine! Did you see the ones in the countdown before the race that don't look as nice as the ones in the menus? Yup, in engine! Did you see the car models during the race that don't look nearly as nice as the ones during the countdown or the menu and look like they were pulled from Forza 3? Well, don't look at those!"

Who knows, assuming turn10 have been working on it since Forza 4 it might be.
Be interesting to see though.

@jchenderson: Polygon said that old controllers won't be compatible with the One, so it doesn't sound like it... And unless MS comes out with the Wireless Racing Wheel 2, I'm going to be very disappointed; I really have a hard time paying $500 (at least) for one of the Fanatec wheels (which also won't work with the One).

Loving the commentary, really slick looking game, but has to be 1080p 60fps locked for me to care.
