Visually this seems pretty cool. If Platinum are handling it then I'll keep an open mind.

It's so awesome to see the Transformers I grew up with and not that Michael Bay shit. Bumblebee was a VW Bug, not a new Camero idiot! Might have to keep an eye on this one.

This seems to be in the same league as that Legend of Korra game. I'm not getting my hopes up for this.

I love Platinum and I have a great deal of trust when it comes to their own properties. But for this licensed stuff... that Korra game looked really good pre-release too.

Honestly that Korra game really didn't look or feel like a Platinum game. Makes me wonder how much they actually worked on it, what team and freedom they were allowed to take.

This however screams Platinum, crazy ass combat with colorful characters and the potential for some amazing setpieces (which they do better then Naughty Dog imo)

I hope this sells well and it leads to a Platinum developed Beast Wars game.

A Gen 1 Shockwave (My Favorite Transformer)? I'm in, right here, right now.

If this game got actual funding for production to include stuff like online play and co op it could be the next Borderlands. Instead we get the best Gen 1 IP ever made into a videogame trapped in some arena box... So much potential.

This is way better than the first trailer they showed... fuck... FUCK.

The pacing to combat looks like it was pulled from the Korra game. Maybe it will only be as long as a 30 minute children's show with commercial breaks.

This doesn't happen often but the way those robots look exactly like some of the toys I owned as a kid is hitting the nostalgia in me pretty hard..

Would rather have Prowl in there instead of the non-Optimus Prime characters but this game still looks fantastic!

I think it's reasonable to assume that they mainly show that square because there are few other areas. I remember Korra. Budget platinum is not Bayonetta, unfortunately.

As someone who has a pretty high tolerance and has enjoyed some "B-tier" licensed games (Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, J-Stars, JoJo All-Star Battle), I'm allowing myself to be pretty damn excited for this.

God dammit, Platinum, stop making so many games because I'll play them all at the expense of others.

Visually the certainly captured the G1 style but the level of detail seems like it came from the Transformers coffee table book. My problem with this game is that it seems to fall into that Anarchy Reigns group of games where it's just wave after wave of decepticon bad guys in a square arena and not much more.

It really seems like that down town arena is all there is for that stage, and the only other location I saw was even more sparse looking, just a giant room with a hex grid floor pattern where you fight Soundwave.

It's a shame to say, but this really does look like a very bare bones budget title that Platinum is doing to keep the lights on while they work on Scalebound. Nier and hopefully Metal Gear Rising 2.

I like that the transforming into cars is cool in battle and doesn't just turn them into multi directional tanks. That part where bumblebee turns into a car and shoots forward into the air at the guys chest was pretty sick. Also 80's as fuck which I'm down with.

The audio quality is also straight from the 80's. How nostalgic.

If I remember correctly, the trigger pointed out between it's legs when (the toy) transformeb into robot form.

Pulling on the G1 nostalgia so very, very hard makes me both excited, and very wary.

I honestly thought this was an arena fighting game for the first half of this trailer. And that was having watched the last trailer.
I have faith that Platinum have a little more up their sleeve though!

Always wonder about stuff like this. As an older person I love the faithful G1 look of the Transformers... but are younger people who only grew up with the junkyard explosion 'Bayformers" going to dig a Transformers game based on an era they weren't part of, and which therefore probably strikes them as "lame" looking?

Hope this game is good, but I also hope Activision isn't expecting it to do gangbusters for them.
