@RichieJohn: I can appreciate your spin on things; the displacement argument is certainly valid. There's something to be said for the so-ridiculous-it's-almost-surreal design philosophy the team have adopted, but i don't think Lollipop Chainsaw's 'ridiculousness' universally excludes it from contexualisation in reality - nor in the medium of video games as a whole. Along with that Hitman: Absolution trailer, gender representation in video games is still shown to be unsettlingly patriarchal, sexist and phallically-motivated in certain instances. I can't do justice to the argument here as it's certainly a dense one. But yes, me saying that Grasshopper should cease to exist is of course an overreaction.

Honestly, this game looks like a game mean for dumb, mindless fun. Why are we trying to over complicate that and make it seem like it is trying to objectify women? Who cares? It's just a video game and I'm sure the people at that studio don't objectify women or whatever...

I'm skeptical about this one even though I'll admit to enjoying the similarly ludicrous Shadows of the Damned and No More Heroes. This just looks a little... obvious. Feels like they're going for the low-hanging fruit with the whole cheerleader and zombie motifs

Seems like it will be mediocre, but entertaining enough premise with enough campyness to have mindless fun riffing with some friend.

Feels like the video game version of Snakes on a Plane. A funny, catchy idea that not a lot of people are going to pay money for. May I be proven wrong.

Anyone else feel like grindhouse is kind of played out? House Of The Dead Overkill pulled it off but the whole "gritty grindhouse announcer" thing the trailer had going on left me cold.

The haters can suck it. God damn. Finally this game is within my grasp. Can't wait. Can't wait to eff some zombies up. I'm getting the High School of the Dead costumes unlocked as soon as I can. =D

Soooooomethign tells me it won't play very well at all, and as usual, is just a place to outlet some stupid bullshit. This time though, it's stupid in a really terrible way.

Ever since someone claimed that the game was attempting for a "strong female lead", the type of character that hasn't apparently been seen in video games, I dislike it even more. There's more of a "strong female" character in Anya's left pinky than in a slut with a chainsaw.

They had me at unlockable costumes.

I take offense with the fact that she said "Eff you up" after cutting the heads off of probably a hundred dudes in the trailer. How the fuck is a word worse than that kind of mutilation? :(

Game looks fun though, will probably pick this one up.

The combat doesn't look special to me. I feel like this will be a good for the ridiculous Suda style of story, but not actually good to play.

I hope you can unlock a costume, in where the cheerleader is dressed in skin tight leather. That would be so awesome.

Seriously, this game just looks flat-out cheesy, and I mean that in a good way. The trailer made me laugh out loud.

I liked Killer 7 a lot. As well as No More Heroes. This is too stoopid.

This just looks plain bad. I'll wait for a final verdict until we see what the combat actually feels like, but this trailer gives the impression that the game is just another generic entry in its genre. Only...there's some Suda craziness, but like Shadows of the Damned, not ENOUGH Suda craziness to make up for the gameplay being boring.
