That could easily be in-game as well, Mafia II looks almost as good as that maxed out and that doesn't even need a best of the best computer to run.

Too bad you'll probably need a $5000 gaming rig to get it to look that good, and there is no way in hell it will look that nice on consoles.

I want to buy an entirely new PC just for this.

/facepalm  A high-end PC doesn't cost that much. $1000-$600 is the usual price. If you want to run this game with full 16xAA with 1200p resolutions at 60fps, then maybe $2000. But there's no need to pay that much money. "

Welp, looks like I will get to put my i7 and GTX570 through the paces. Looks pretty good, hope it plays as well as it looks. Don't have much reason to doubt DICE when it comes to making a good shooter, but I am not going to commit until I learn a lot more about this game.

I'm so sick of these creatively bankrupt military shooters. That being said,  DICE's new Frostbite engine is SIC AS HELL. Crysis and Killzone are looking like they're not gonna be the benchmarks for FPSs for much longer...
 
I just wish DICE would work on a game where they made up their own guns, enemies, vehicles and settings. Do something creative and fun, y'know? Well...do it AGAIN. Since Mirror's Edge - despite being fucking fantastic - "only sold" over a million units (nothing to sneeze at, damn). And EA doesn't give a shit about their brands unless they sell over 5 million copies!?! Greedy bitches.

I finished watching this teaser and then i pre oredered  this game in 0.5 seconds

EA has it out for [at least partially] Farsi speaking countries. I wonder what conflict is being depicted here, Karkand being in Pakistan and the guy in the end spouting an expletive in Farsi before hitting the protagonist in the face. 
EDIT: Oh, and I loved the heavily distorted Battlefield Theme. Sounds like something Charlie Clouser, Danny Lohner or someone otherwise influenced by Nine Inch Nails would do. Which is always awesome.

The interesting thing is that we're all looking at the game through a tiny window with plenty of compression. If you're willing to skimp on the resolution, texture quality and anti-aliasing that would result in the actual game looking close to this video, you could quite easily run it with a stable framerate on a somewhat modern, reasonably cheap machine!
 
I, personally, still run all my games at 1042x768, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Just slap some AA on it and you can max out all the shaders and texture quality and junk now that you don't have to render a trillion pixels, and then it looks great! Yeah, okay, so my monitor's really tiny, but still... "

hhhmmmmm..... im seriously stuck on whether to get this for  PC or 360,  360 will be good for playing with friends, but the PC will be  the "real" BF experience, i dunno, hardest gaming choice iv made in ages,  i might have to pick up 360 from the off then get the PC version off of steam when its on offer, im still playing BFBC2 so im sure ill be playing this for a long time to come

Or you can get a $250 console and play it. Will probably look better than on a low-end machine anyway. I personally don't see the point of spending money on expensive PCs anymore. Most games can be played on the 360 and that looks good enough for me even if a high end PC can play at higher resolution. That extra bit of detail in one or two games isn't worth the $300 for a video card. Think about how much money PC players spend on average per game. There's maybe 1 or 2 games that really take advantage of a $400 video card and a $400 CPU. That's $400 per game in hardware alone just to make it look slightly more crisp.   For me it was when I bought the Radeon 4870 and realized that I saw no difference between it and the 8800GTS I had before (because that already could play everything but Crysis at the highest settings) that I started to think about what I was doing buying video cards where the only difference I could see were in benchmarks.  The only games that doesn't work on consoles are RTS's like StarCraft and MMO's like WoW, but they can both be played on low end PCs no problem. "

hey guys, how many people said it looks like call of duty? xD jk, looks fine I guess, I've played battlefield 2 but I always got my ass kicked cause I started playing pretty late, but still some crazy shit can happen in that game.
