I actually don't mind the art style, I think it fits the color pallet well.
 
As for the gameplay, I hope it can stand on its own and keep people from going to the usual" Sprint, Stop, aim, shoot" tactics.

Looks awfully empty for a place thats 1000% over populated.

I don't mind the characters being ugly
if you're that into good looking characters, the train to Final Fantasy is right there waiting for you :/
 
long as the handling, shooting is good, and the weapons, class and maps are balanced

Not sure about this yet. Originally it was being promoted as something like a Mirror's Edge/shooter hybrid, but this video makes it look more like Halo multiplayer instead. Hmm.

Did you just...completely ignore the whole plotline part? It's Freedom Fighters vs. Peacekeepers. I.E. good guys against good guys. Neither group is automatically morally in the wrong, which is why there are two playable factions. If anything, it's more like MAG, but with ideologies for the factions.  But if people are making posts like this, I guess they're not doing a very good job painting the security forces as a viable moral choice. So I can't be condescending, even though I am being condescending, which means that somehow I'm morally in the wrong. "

That's because they made the choice early on to have a robust customization system in place. Female avatars would have cut the amount of customization in half. I can seem them adding females as part of an expansion for like 10$ "

I like the look of this game so far. Ill be keeping an eye out.

I'm really really hyped for Brink, just from the look it has and this S.M.A.R.T. feature they have

Man... will this game ever come out? It may not even come out until a while into 2011. This game was scheuled for next month! My hopes are high, clearly.

Need a QL of this to make any sort of decision. Looks okay, though.  I'm not too interested in the "story" since this is fundamentally just a competitive shooter.  Balance issues would concern me more.  No one would like some of the complaints directed at MAG to appear here, as well.
