Might be my most unimpressive trailer at E3. 
 
Melee weapons? NO., 
Change in Voice Actor? NO. 
 
I'm even a bit shakey on the Ice powers.

The tag for the video is awesome. Amped 3 is the greatest.

I personally don't understand the change in voice actor, true his voice was kind of stupid in the first game but they didn't need to change the actor. The change in look is completely understandable. What if it was hot and he decided to take his jacket off? No one ever said he didn't have a tattoo, not to mention it is very possible his hair could've grown. The ice powers won't bother me unless they're just shoehorned in. Overall the game looks like an improvement!

New Cole is the worst.

Wtf is up with his hair? Concept of the game looks nice though, and looks like it might turn out to be pretty fucking fun, even though they didn't show much gameplay.

maybe its a multiverse, this is cole in this multiverse and the another will come out in 3, then they'll join powers to make captain planet!!

I'll chime in with some positive comments on the new costume. 
 
Looks like some other people have already made a Mirror's Edge comparison, but I think it's great. I loved the runner designs, and especially the split-toe shoe. Looks like Cole is sporting these this time around. 
 
Plus, Dead Rising 2 is stealing Cole's inFamous 1 costume. It's time to move on to something different. 
 
To people who dislike new Cole: I'm curious what you would have preferred to see.

I ... no ... this wasn't really in my taste.

Couldn't help thinking how hilariously stupid it would have looked if he had done a mid-air double jump when he jumped out that rooftop towards the church tower though.

So i'm guessing Cole invested in hair tonic and forgot to take his cough drops? Ok, I really hate his new voice and looks, (No offense to the voice actor,) but the first game was just pure awesomeness to me, so i'll probably get it no matter what.

I can understand changing the voice actor too. His old voice didn't fit his character.

I hated the first Cole so much I couldn't bear to play that game.

               This new design is a little better. But it still looks like a wannabe poseur douche bag.
 
I think the designers at suckerpunch must be a bunch of closeted-geeks if this is what they think a "cool" character looks like.

I loved the first game and got a platinum for it....but this, I just don't know, I hope they explain the change maybe he needs to look different because he is on the run...and so he changed his voice aswel....

Well, I thought it got leaked that they were changing voice actors a while ago... I think that's definitely supposed to be Cole. I'll have to see more story stuff before I pass judgement on the differences the the characters. The way he looks isn't really swaying me one way or the other. 
 
I think the inclusion of that electro-rod thing on his back has potential. Maybe a bigger melee system this time around.  
 
The ice stuff is cool, but still makes no sense to me.  
 
Mostly, I just need to see more of this game than has been shown.  
 
Also, I really hope your save from the first game carries over. Like your decisions and stuff.

2011 is going to be an insane year already.  I do wish it was coming out this fall though.

Meh, I didn't even play the first one and even I can see that they changed his appearance and voice too much to even be believed as the same character.  Which is why I say a resounding "Fuck this sequel.".

Very interested, I'd like the see the morality system more fleshed out, but I loved the first game.  Which is weird, as I normally hate open world games.

pretty impressive to build a whole new city this quick... but, for some reason it still feels like that game just came out to me. 
quite a drastic change,  did people have some kind of issue with the original Cole?

I didn't really like the way Cole looked, and I really didn't like how he talked...
 
... but changing it so severely this early in the franchise makes it feel like a different character.  I understand he's not.  But I think they either should've have changed the voice actor, or changed the look... doing both eliminates the continuity of character.  
 
At very least it seems like they have a strong influence on their design.  A lot about the setups in there have strong comic book roots.  Crackdown and Prototype were video game ass video games, while Infamous had a strong sense of style both visually and in story, generated from comic book influence.  Beyond its superior controls, I think that's what set it apart.

Those who read the gameinformer article know two things:
 
1. That is supposed to be Cole
2. The voice actor has been replaced from the first game.
 
That said, I didn't like the old voice actor, and I don't much care for the new one either. They were looking for someone with a more expressive voice that could portray a wider range of emotions rather than always being so gruff. But based on this trailer I think they may have gone too far in that direction. Just creating a new main character would make more sense in the story for the new voice, look, powers, etc.
