Moba makes a lot of sense as a genre for comics games, actually. But with as many characters as they have, is using multiple universes really necessary?

Yeah, Red Son characters are kind of a no brainer.

Admittedly even Steampunk Batman is pretty well established in the comics. I think he's even been dead for like 6 years.

EDIT - Just to be clear, DC comics ran an arena comic where the baddest asses of their multiverse were pitted in 1v1v1 combat, so three versions of a character to find the most lethal one to join the badguys army. I believe the steampunk Batman lost to vampire Batman with the 3rd Batman doing an endrun. That Apollo was actually a super advanced Ray rather than Superman was interesting in an otherwise mediocre comic.

I am a big fan of using the multiverse to justify a MOBA setting (better than having identical Gandalfs going against each other in that LOTR MOBA) Also I am a huge comic fan so they had me at Steampunk Batman from Gotham By Gaslight Elseword tale, and I love all the Elseword comics so the subject matter and characters intrigue me.

However, the actual gameplay seems like shit and not smooth like dota 2, but I will give a chance and sign up for the beta.

Wonder if it's a typical moba game or a moba game like Smite, one that I actually kind of liked.

Wow, I was literally just thinking at PAX about how does one of these not exist for Marvel or DC. The Multiverse stuff is a pretty cool way to do it too. Also, is DC intentionally not putting their name in the titles of these games? Between this an Injustice it almost seems weird.

This is a genre that doesn't have room for many successes at a time, and no room for games that aren't F2P. If this indeed is a MOBA/ARTS I feel pretty comfortable in predicting that they're throwing money out the window here. Chasing LoL and DOTA/DOTA2 is almost like chasing WoW.

Exactly what i was going to say. This feels just like the WoW chase that went on (and is still going on). GET SOME ORIGINALITY PEOPLE.

I'd rather play a Marvel MOBA myself, but that's just me.
