This is Dark Souls, right? I thought Brad was saying it would be Dark Souls 2 on the Bombcast.

Woah freaky, I just beat this area like 30 minutes ago for the first time.

I got Dark Souls fever for DS3 and realized I hadn't beat DS1 all the way yet.

I really enjoyed the stream.

I've never understood the hatred for the Anor Londo archers. Doesn't everybody carry a longbow, at least?

@craves: Me too! I sometimes wish that either Brad/Vinny would do full playthrough of the Dark Souls games, and also Bloodborne ( I watched the Breaking Brad Platinum run also)

Lvl 50 is pretty normal for the painted world.

YAY LOAD OUR LAST BRAD SOULS IS HERE! Super happy that Brad gets to see the rest of this wonderful game and us being able to watch along makes it even better. Hurray for Brad!

The speed of the game seems way too fast for some reason. Specifically the fireballs.

Oh what the heck? When I read "painted world" on the upcoming section, the first thing I thought of was The Painted World of Ariamis in Dark Souls, but I thought they must have been talking about some other game. This is a welcome surprise though!

Agreed. Dark Souls 1 has a real handcrafted, perfectionist sort of feeling to its level design that's really unique.

Easily one of the most atmospheric areas in the series, can't wait to watch this when i get home from work.

As someone who only just started and finished Dark Souls over the past three weeks, I'm really glad that content appears out of the blue to support me ^^

Incidentally, I have an equation which I plan to use to describe Monster Hunter more than anything else:
Monster Hunter + Castlevania = Dark Souls

Brad did not have an easy time here. Rolling of something unexpectedly to your death is always so saddening.

I like how Brad, in the beginning, says he had heard you can sort of cheese it to skip part of the Painted World, and then when he's done that he goes back to do the frustrating parts. YOU WERE AT THE END.

This is so interesting, I did the exact same order of problem solving: Oh i guess they poison me, toxic? damn, I only have like 4 moss. Moss went out -> lets try pyro flame. Pyro flame not enough -> so okay lets look for a different solution.

I also got stuck trying to get that item in the tower & same reaction when i encountered the phalanx. I'd never expected you can lead player so well by game design. Now I'm even more impressed by darksouls.

All this Souls talk and content is bumming me out that I never got around to finishing Dark Souls II. Maybe if it goes on a flash sale one day, I'll start a new character on PS4. Still have Bloodbourne to get though as well...

Man I grinded the hell out of those parthanax(?) enemies on my playthrough. Got like 20+ levels here

I played the full game never changing from rate from 60fps and the only thing I noticed was falling through ladders so I got used to not going down ladders fast. Never noticed the poison bug or anything else.

You could just play DS3.

I just realized that Dark Souls has always had kinda the Doom monster level design. You know where you see a relatively easy guy taking pot shots at you only to be surrounded by his friends when you get closer.

Dark Souls is still the best.

Maybe not on DemoDerby, but I certainly want a Brad focused premium series again. It's almost been a god damn year since the BloodBorne stuff.

If you have one of the aoe pyromancies its sort of game breaking. You can just run up into the middle of them and kill the giant group all at once.

@theunsavedhero: I platinumed DSII recently, and there is just something so forgettable about that game. I can't say I enjoyed it nearly as much as I did DSI, but they may just be because DSI was my first experience with the series.
