I'm oddly more intrigued by the weird forked arrow than by the actual crossbows.

Vampires have been in the series since Arena and you could become one since Daggerfall. Never before has such focus been put on them however. By the looks of the trailer it could be pretty cool.

Sadly that was my reaction to this trailer, and this is coming from a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls series. Vampires are overdone, they sucked in Oblivion and I didnt like werewolves in Skyrim or Morrowind, they were fun to go on rampages with but werent practical in the slightest.

Oh well, it's Skyrim i'll still buy it...

Looks to be fairly interesting. Hope I get at least 12 hours out of it.

Not a huge fan of the Chiroptaeran sort of look the vamp-monsters are rocking here, but it's okay. The whole "You've found our stronghold!" opening brings back bad memories, makes this look just like Oblivion's trivial little setpiece DLCs instead of the more Shivering Isles sort of scale we were promised.

Vampires VS Werewolves DLC is next, guys.

And the ending is where you'll find Cthulhu in the center of it all orchestrating the whole thing - and both Vamps and Wolves must team up to bring him down. Ima call it "We fucking hate the sun" DLC.

Oh hell yes. Here's hoping the PC version of this doesn't lag too far behind.

Interesting. Doesn't look like a full expansion like I thought they were aiming for. Hopefully it's a sizable chunk of gameplay though.

This is giving me a reason to go back into Skyrim, and it makes me happy. Will probably create and play as a completely different type of character.

Is it bad that the most exciting part of this trailer for me is realizing we're gonna be getting the ability to attack while riding a horse? :p

Is PS3 Skyrim still broke as fuck? I haven't touched it since it corrupted all my saves.

Hopefully the main quest has lots of great set pieces and such, and there is new sidequests, and lots of new locations and types of locations. I did like finding that one-of-a-kind (I think) map marker in Skyrim. That being said I should wait for the GOTY edition, unless they really do plenty of special things with it and it provides various system level upgrades to Skyrim that even make the base game significantly better.

@Cyrisaurus: Well, you know, I mean if you do anything and everything in any game to death and to absolute tedium more or less for the sake of it and not just out of fun of exploring and experiencing some story thing or getting some special loot - chances are the enjoyment will run dry in virtually any game. I mean jumping through hoops and going on big explorations & collections to get the Magic Armor in The Wind Waker can be fun, but just trying to ring that game dry of single thing in it's world in even the span of 6 months is way too much for me. And honestly for games like that and games like Skyrim I would never use a guide unless it was absolutely necessary.

@Anomareh: I know! They should ship us off to Black Marsh and southern Cyrodiil or Elsweyr to make up for it next time!!

This is their chance to make it so that the vampires are no longer the weakest part of ES lore. We're going to get a back story, bigger characters, and a reason to care about them (hopefully).

I was reminded far more of the big bad from Underworld Evolutions. Your Mileage May Vary on whether that's a good thing or not, but I thought he looked pretty badass.

After Fallout, I now wait for GOTY editions from Bethesda but this actually makes me want to get into Skyrim now.

Well I took a break from Skyrim after breaking 90 hour mark, but this will make me get back into it.

Looks like they watched some Underworld before designing that Vampire Form. Looks just like Marcus from the second movie.

Hopefully this will be the buff us Vampire players were looking for, as without some mods, Vampirism is pretty tedious in Skyrim.

This seems alright, maybe not worth the fanfare it's getting though. Doesn't seem like the scale is too ambitions from the trailer. Hard to get excited after the early rumors of Morrowind DLC, hopefully that's still in the plans for down the road.
