I hate to be a naysayer, But man, The 3DS isn't doing the visual style of this game any justice. Like, Baby Mario looks like a blurry pink blob and everything just looks a bloody mess compared to the original :/

To be fair, those direct feed 3DS videos have always been pretty garbage looking. 3DS games always look 1000 times better in a native resolution, in person. That said, this does look grainier than most 3DS videos.

Yeah. This video does look pretty rough, but I think it's just the difficulty of releasing good screenshots and videos from the 3DS. Stuff that looks good on the real screen looks bad when scaled up even just a small amount.

Remember when people also kept saying that Link Between Worlds look bad?

That weird "yoshi" at the very start of the video got me so irrationally angry. I can just picture a person recording and making that stupid sound and it causes me a pain that ricochets throughout my entire being. That off my chest, the art style looks alright. It's hard see with all this blood in my eyes, though.

I'll give them points for remembering the game at all and at least trying to make it again (remake it? sequel? hell I don't know), but man, this both looks and, much more importantly, sounds terrible.

2. I remember when A Link Between Worlds was announced and I thought it was hella ugly, but then I played it and not only was it fantastic, but I totally dug the graphics.

One day Nintendo will make a new game, I might be dead when it happens but one day they'll stop remaking the same shit over and over again.

All 3DS videos look kinda bad though and screenshots are even worse, so I'm holding my judgement until I see a trailer in the e-shop.

I'm one of the people who loves Yoshi's Island (SNES). I was expecting more Mario World (because it was named Mario World 2) but got this gem instead. Glad they are retaining the art style of the original. The bosses were really cool in the original game, hope they can keep it as fresh and fun.

This. I think there's a type of 'Nintendo Cycle', where people complain about a Nintendo game early on, based on nothing but trailers, then when the game comes out - it scores really well and is highly praised. Similar cases happened with Mario Galaxy, 3D Land, 3D World, Link between Worlds, and a few others.

This game would be awesome without baby Mario.

Seriously, fuck baby Mario. Long live Yoshi.

Not much hope for this. Aesthetically it just looks grimy compared to the original and even with Tezuka helping out I really doubt the people behind Blinx are going to make something worthy of being mentioned alongside the first game.
