I can't figure out if they are just trying to make it so people don't want to buy this years game.

Oh man, if they'd announced John Cena as being on the cover and then revealed the boxart with just an empty space there.... MAGNIFICENT.

I wonder how big 2K has to go with their cover stars to meet their measure of financial viability. As divorced as I am from the idea of hating on "stars," going Jordan -> James -> Cena doesn't exactly inspire confidence that we'll get to see any interesting stories from smaller-name athletes.

Cena actually has a crazy amount of wishes fulfilled for the Make-A-Wish foundation, about 300+. I don't know much about wrestling, but that makes him an alright guy in my book.
