Isometric Tomb Raider? How did this happen?

This guy's eyes make him look both condescendingly smug and like he's struggling to stay awake.

I try very hard  not to curse, but sometimes that's the only way to describe something.
 
This game looks like shit.

Throwing away all previous experience with the Tomb Raider franchise.  If someone said to me "You run through ancient tombs in search of treasures while fighting monsters, avoiding traps, and solving puzzles." I would think isometric dungeon crawl and hope it had co-op play.  I'm interested.  That said, this guy deserves a face full of fist if only for the cocked back head and popped collar.

I've never cared about Tomb Raider before, but this game looks... maybe interesting? It's hard to say. I'm certainly more interested in it than I have been in a Tomb Raider game before.

Wow I dunno where all the hate comes from with this guy he seems nicely down to earth to me. Sounds interesting at the very least.

Isometric? When I think of isometric view I think of Diablo, Fallout 1&2, Baldur's Gate and the like. Is this an RPG? Or why else go with isometric? Besides isometric feels so 1997-99 I'm glad games like Dragon Age and Fallout 3 have moved on from that.

Whats the point of the interview if they aren't willing to release any information on the game yet? I'm not blaming Ryan here because he asked some pretty good questions but so far all I know is that its isometric, you shoot and there's puzzles.

I had a hard time listening to this insipid corporate shill. I ain't hatin' on him because I don't really blame him, I blame whoever spoon-fed him the things he were to say in this interview. At some point I wasn't even paying much attention to this interview because the only word that had any sort of entropy was "iso-metric". The rest was like... "The bar has been raised... ... ... ... ... ... new, compelling [god, I hate this word], ... ... raise the bar..."

I'm surprised to see that this franchise is still going. I would've killed it off and started a new IP for current-gen consoles. Or at least do a non-Tomb Raider/Lara Croft game instead of this while doing the next TR.

Lowering the bar is more like it, I think. Thats why there isnt a Tomb Rider name in the game.

I love this franchise. I played every tomb raider game released, even the expansion for tomb raider 3 (lost artifact ?).  I think Crystal Dynamics should redo TR II like they did TR I with Anniversary.  I still remember some great moments from TR II.    

Now i know exactly why Tomb Raider games suck, cause D-bags that think its cool to pop their collars develop them. Its all clear to me now.

This video needs 100% more popped collar. C'mon Ryan, get with it.

 And Uncharted is basically just Tomb Raider with the Gears cover system.

Tbh unless the next tomb raider game takes some serious hints from the stellar Uncharted 2 it's just gonna pale in comparison.
This looks like a fresh and different take on the tomb raider style to give something a little more unique.
If it pulls off this could be great.
