I'm surprised Cara doesn't like the Sailor Moon fighting game,Jared Rae was praising it a few years ago on the Bombcast because of how dumb/silly it is, as well as how broken and unbalanced it is.

Really? I felt like when she was on the E3 panels I couldn't notice but it was a lot stronger/noticeable here.

I probably shouldnt have used the word "scum" but preemtively telling someone to behave is how you would treat a kid and it was the first time i've seen it in one of the live videos. But now given the context, I suppose it was necessary.

Cara's a really open minded chic, really interesting person. Tina's cool as well.

@rorie: I wasn't denying any of that. I just think people were automatically assuming Vinny was trying to ward off any potentially sexist comments without watching the video and realizing that he was referring to the hentai conversation. Basically, I'm just saying to not comment on a video before actually watching it. Which I know is silly plea on the Internet but I might as well try.

@boozak: Also, it was probably mostly about the hentai stuff...to not post pictures etc. of what they were discussing. I remember that happening a couple of times when stuff like this was discussed in content.

It's still there but you probably have to be Scottish to hear it. Lots of Scottish people adjust their accent unconsciously around non-Scots, even around English people.

I really enjoy how frank, and relaxed the stream is. Cara and Tina are very charismatic, and insightful. They're terrific guests, and mesh well with Vinny and Alex. It's amazing how quickly GBeast has really hit it's stride. Sure they've got some technological things to work out, but the chemistry is really perfect, not that there was any doubt there would be.

I think these guys are going to do just fine once they get some actual equipment in there (that poor laptop!). Alex and Vinny seem like they are meshing, they are just limited by their studio space and the tools that they have to work with at the moment.

Also, I think this is my first experience (that I can remember) with Cara Ellison. Does she always talk about sex/hentai/things of that nature so much? There was a little more of that discussion than I would have liked. Regardless, Cara seems like a decent personality.

Really cool to see a good variety and diversity of people on the website recently. A diversity of backgrounds and pasts makes for unique views on content and different types of humor; which I think is very important for a content driven site.

For anyone interested in Hentai games, I recommend a video series called Game Fap created by Benzaie. He hasn't done one for awhile but he usually censors them in hilarious ways in addition to reading the voices in a comical manner.

I hear it just fine. It sounds a lot how my grandmother from Swansea talks even though she's been in the states for about 40 years.

What dynamics changed in a positive way? It just felt more interview-y than usual.

Well, and I guess there was more weird sex talk but that's not fun to listen to especially seeing them in a work environment. The GB guys seem to understand that too because even with how unprofessional UPF gets, I don't remember them ever talking about things like which character they would want to bang.(which, in this video you can find out Cara wants to bang Captain America...)

At first I was sad about Vinny moving to NY because of his contributions on the Bombcast and UPF specifically. My god though there is just an overload of content now, and even more Alex than before, and it's awesome. I love Giant Bomb East!

I do love that Giant Bomb can just have people from other sites on their programming. People and personalities I'd have never experienced otherwise. :)

A quick impression of Americans eating Vegemite/Marmite:

On the vital Vegemite/Marmite war that still rages on, I definitely fall on the Vegemite side, but I'll totally eat some Marmite without qualm if there's none of my nation's awesome yeast extract handy. I grew up with friends who were in a Marmite household, so years of exposure have given me some level of appreciation for it.

As an Englishman living in Canada, I do find myself having sub consciously adjusted my accent without even realizing, it wasn't until my girlfriend did an impression of me that I noticed! So I really wouldn't be surprised if Cara's accent has changed.

Admittedly, this particular feature included very little actual gaming due to certain technical difficulties but even just their discussion gives an example of how someone different from the old GB group naturally gives a new perspective. I see it as unlikely that the original cast would breach the "sex games"-subject like what happened here if it was just them.

I find that especially easy to accomplish by just adding the other gender to the mix. It's also not just about discussing sex or adding women to a male dominated group, as I find it equally enriching when applied in the opposite direction; adding men to a female dominated group. Homogeneous groups are often limited in terms of potential.

The digital gaming market has traditionally been incredibly male dominated but it's changing. Allowing women more screen time is another step in that direction.

Cara in this feature was almost a "new perspective"-overdose, since she's not only not male, she's not american as well.

I remember an episode of Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson asked if there were any Glaswegians in the studio audience. There was a dude and he asked him to come to the stage and simply say "burglar alarm". He said something like "barrrrghlrrrhlhglarrrhlm" and everyone laughed their asses off.

Hearing Cara's story reminded me of how frustrating it was - as a Canadian - to try and get work in the US. Not in the right field to easily get in even temporarily unfortunately.
