I tried to think of the things that I am looking forward to hopefully seeing in ME3, and the list was far longer than I thought:

EDI + Joker, Miranda, Kasumi, Normandy SR2, the Council, Mordin, "The Shadow Broker", Anderson, Samara, Kaiden, the Citadel, Legion, the Illusive Man, Aria. I know in the back of my mind that I am forgetting a few.

I apologise for that stream of people and places, but I only just realised now how many parts of this universe I really love.

Edit: Also the Destiny Ascension kicking some butt.

I declare Heart of Courage to be a better tune than this one, but I am absolutely shitting my pants at the sight of that space battle.

Ok, I was already getting the game, but the trailer actually did more for me than all of their other nonsense combined previously.

Speaking of previous ME3 nonsense, how do they release a live action trailer and /not/ get Vanderloo, Shepard's face model, to be in it? Hell, they had Samara's face model at PAX in full Samara garb.

Edit: Wait, holy fuck, upon repeat watching, both Mordin and Thane are alive. Fuck yes. Especially after I kept seeing repeated rumors of death of sickness/old age.

Considering they've improved the mechanics, the RPG stuff, the audio/visual punch, and added some pretty fun multiplayer (all based on my demo time), if they nail the story... this will be my favorite game of this generation.

@Shaanyboi: Ahh, had no idea. Cheers for the info duder, now to the youtubes to hear more of their stuff.

Gotta say I have zero issues with this EA release...!

I play most games on PC. I'm buying so many copies because I'm buying the game for both the 360 and PC. For each platform I'm buying the CE from Amazon, then standard copies from GameStop and Origin. The hassle of returning the extra copies after I redeem the DLC isn't going to bother me nearly as much as it'd bother me to not have that content.

To touch on your point, pirating DLC wouldn't allow me to play multiplayer.

God that trailer was amazing. I'm glad they finally made one that is more story heavy then action-packed (though still plenty of action!)

Reminded me just how god-damned much I love Mass Effect.

Somehow I hope I can recruit the Illusive Man....I don't think I could kill Martin Sheen in any form.

In all honesty, and I don't know if anyone else will agree with me, but in my experience from reading lots of sci-fi/fantasy books, it's very common for the soldier-y, save-the-world kind of characters to have some sort of ability kind of split themselves into an outside "Save the world unflinchingly" persona, and an inside shell that is protected from the psychological trauma one might encounter.

I didn't find it all that unbelievable that Shepard could be getting his bone on during all of this. We all need relief in some way, and having someone to hold you in their arms and give you that love you desperately need amidst so much chaos seems like a perfectly natural thing. I mean, I kind of don't understand them just randomly throwing it out there as, I don't know, some kind of selling point, but the act in itself isn't unfeasible...

Great trailer, the music is amazing. I have avoided a lot of coverage about this game recently but after watching this trailer color me excited.

Plot wise not spoilery at all. But it does appear to have a lot of cut combat scenes that have a high probability of occuring toward the end. Sorry for being vague, i'm sure you understand.

I read the posts there now and again (aside from the spoilery ones) and there are just as many people liking the game as those critizising it. In fact the biggest and most frequent posters seem to be those defending the game (just looking at the list now). I realise you might feel like a minority against a tide, but part of that is due to posting so much in the defense of a game you like (i've been there). As a result you by default argue against far more people then normally and naturally don't notice those saying neutral/positive things about the game as much. I frequently see some OP post a negative remark and then 10 people jump on him/her for it. And trailers like this one have far more people praising the game.

My actual point being that "mob mentality" is an easy excuse to throw around and degrading one to boot to those people with legitimate negative feelings (not just blaaagh this game will sux attitude) as such i really dislike when it's being used to clump a group of people who disagree with you together while simultaneously dismissing their opinions as of no real value.

If you're going to defend the game against those that don't share you opinion, keep at it, that's admirable. Just don't lower yourself to the level of using the "mob mentality" dismissal imo.

I really do fucking hate it that strongly, if you havent noticed :P
