Microsoft Unboxes an Xbox One Three Months Early

I for one appreciate the briefness of this video.

Short and to the point is exactly what I want from an unboxing video.

More doesn't mean better, besides titan fall (which is coming to pc and current gen anyway, and probably ps4 later on) everything else looks stupid.(dead rising , killer instinct etc) Killzone looks like it's going to be a step up from the old ones hopefully, and Infamous is going to be great (not a launch title though). Besides those two every other thing that looks good is coming on both but in the long run sony typically has better quality exclusives.

I honestly don't know why people pre-order and buy at launch. You have to deal with possible hardware failures and a steep lack of quality games for 6 months to a year typically.

"It's beautiful"......yeah maybe getting a little too overzealous with the terms of endearment for your chincy ass headset you've included.

So, intead, a thief can steal your Kinect 2.0 and turn your Xbox One into a $500 paperweight?

I'm glad I pre-ordered my Xbox One. It is already sold out at Bestbuy.

Can't say I think it's that massive if the Blu Ray drive is anything to go by.

I used to listen to the Major Nelson podcast a couple of years ago for this very reason, maybe I should go back to it. Lack of criticism aside it's nice just to hear people talking positively about games and recounting the fun anecdotes that happen in multiplayer. One of my favourite bombcast segments is Vinny and Brad talking about their epic horde mode session in Gears of War 3.

Have mine pre-ordered for day one. Also have PS4 pre-ordered for day one. I'm looking forward to playing both. For whatever reason, having both om them on day one really adds value for me.

Nice to see the headset is included. I thought they said they weren't going to include it? Also, though logical, I'm glad to see they added a HDMI cable to it. I have enough HDMI cables, so it wouldn't be a problem either way though.

Wait... what? We can argue about the long run, but as far as right now: XO has more exclusive games than PS4 does. Could you specify why you think that sucks?

@bill_rizer: A lot of people watch a lot of videos on this site. I haven't bought every game I've watched a video for though. The difference being that hundreds of dollars vs minutes of your time are very different asking prices.

I think MS rightly can take back their title as Xbox Huge. Let the memes commence.

Microsoft is pushing hard. Have to admit the Day One logo is a cool idea as you should get credit for lining up at the launch. Would be nice if it were on the console as well.

I really like the look of the XBO far more than the PS4. This looks quite great. Love that on/off switch.

While I might not be getting the Xbox One day of release, unlike the PS4, that unboxing is getting me excited. I want to open up a box too! With a new console in it!

If that's their logic it's pretty faulty because the general public is not going to watch a game console unboxing video at all.

"Uh.. yeah so here's the box. You jam these cables in where they fit... Then stick in a game. And... hey wanna watch this game?"

Can it go on its side? Does the kinect sensor slot onto the actual console at all? Or is it still meant to be placed on top of the tv. I assume on the tv.

But yeah this is real home shopping channel quality here. Oh well, I'm sure a few months after launch it will play cool games.

So enough people complained and Microsoft removed always online DRM. Then enough people complained and Microsoft added a headset. If enough people complain, do you think we can get Microsoft to add a PS4 to the bundle? I mean, $500 is a lot, but if I can get a Xbox One that also comes with a PS4 for only a hundred more dollars, I'll totally buy an Xbox One. ;)

No more Red Ring, now the console will just straight up tell you "I can't allow you to do that" and turn back off. Innovation.

@skelington_: You have to remember that the video isn't meant for us. It's intended to be quick to keep people with short attention spans tuned in. It is also because their goal is to get this content on major publications (think more mainstream) who would not put up with an overly long video.
