Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer World Premiere

Looks like Modern Warfare alright. That's either a good or bad thing depending on perceptions.

Cod has been declining ever since MW1. 

 Battlefield has been improving ever since BC1.

COD used to be so much better than battlefield, now it seems they are set to trade places.

Am I alone in thinking this looks really bad, graphically? The character models have some nice detail, but everything looks so goddamn muddy. Plus, looks like they stole the dogtags thing from Crysis 2's multiplayer.

Call of Duty is still pretty fucking good.

Not a very thrilling trailer. Way to much slo mo and shots of a dude running.

I wish they would just do something ... new. I played a ton of MW2 and I prefer the movement and shooting to that of Battlefield, but this is just more of what I've already played to death.

That music toward the end was the only thing that excited me about this trailer. However, I'll still probably play the shit out of it.

Hey, it's CoD. Every year I end up getting it, and playing it for like two weeks. Maybe I'll just get Halo Anniversary. I find playing halo a bit more fun. It feels more "pure" to me. CoD has so much shit going on constantly.

The more pixels and texturing they put into the character models, the more dated the maps look graphically. The underlying engine looks like it hasn't changed since, what, CoD4?.

The concept of kill streaks enabling extra perks is interesting.

hybrid scope is neat.. perks as killstreaks, interesting.. but mostly what I learned from this trailer... Wearing black with a square top hat makes you pwn as a sniper.. and snipers are like highlander, they can only be killed by other sniper rifles...

I'll give them credit for making a trailer that doesn't look exactly like very other trailer ever made, but no matter how much they edit it this game still just looks like more of the same to me.

Faawk... this looks mad gamey. I was hoping they were going to take the more serious approach and not try to mimic black ops. I was hoping they would make the game more tactical and realistic. I might be the only person who didn't like black ops but shit, the game was just too over the top for me to really get into.  

This may not be the most original thing to say but that looks exactly like MW2.

@ThrustMuscle: Did you play MW2? Black Ops is relatively tame by comparison.

Here's the opposite of what everyone is saying, but most likely what everyone is thinking and probably how most people will act on it's release? 
 
Looks the same? Yeah, it really does. But dude, the Overkill perk is back. Oh man, and there's a map set in modern-day New York city streets. Fucking awesome, I love cityscapes. Fuckin' new perks, too. And new killstreaks. That stealth bomber looked rad! And there's still a Blackbird killstreak equivalent! This... this looks really fun. I bet playing this with my friends will be a blast. They're all going to get it, so I am too because I'm not someone who would upset my friends and be all antisocial because I am going to stick with the shit I post on a gaming forum. God, I can't wait. Time to dominate some players online, again.

Unfortunately it looks like they set up perks like they are in Black Ops, which were pretty unbalanced, and the trade off between stopping power and cold blooded as totally ruined in that game. 
Not having high hopes for this considering that it looks a lot like mw2, and I can't believe that they put in that Marley and Griffin remove truck from MW2.

The more killstreaks, the worse this will be, Treyarch had to remove most of the ones from mw2 and it made the multiplayer so much better.

Looks cool. It's funny, I start off at the beginning of each Call of Duty ad campaign firmly set on not buying the newest game, but as we get closer and closer to the release date I find myself becoming more and more enticed to pick it up. I enjoyed Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, and appears as if there's no reason I shouldn't enjoy this new game. Change is cool and welcome, but it's also fine to see refinements on what already works (i.e. Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls, Zelda, etc...).

yea ... this just does not feel like it is that much different. I will prob. buy it still because so many people will, but it will be my console shooter. BF3 is my PC shooter.

Nice, they finally brought back blood! Not since WAW have we seen this. In fact, I miss that WAW had the ability to blow off limbs – that was amazing.

While it does look a lot like MW2, the new killstreaks (the explosive decoy supply drop especially) and Sniper Rifles as secondary weapons have me excited. 
 
I didn't play BLOPS last year, and I feel as though I need some progressive first person multiplayer shooting in my life. This will do just fine.
