Orient Yourself to L.A. Noire's Gameplay

It reminds me of Lie to Me with all the facial expression stuff, hopefully I'll have an edge because I love that show! This game looks fantastic, crime investigation type stuff is quickly becoming one of my favorite things in games/movies/shows/etc.

Well Alright, I am going to go pre-order this now.

I just hope they don't put too much GTA/RDR-ness into it, if you get what I mean. I hope its more focused on investigating and being a detective, rather than just shooting dudes all the time and doing shitty driving parts.

Rockstar is easily the best developer out there right now, every game they put out is a pure masterpiece. I know it's not out, but the graphics look fantastic and the gameplay sounds great.

I... well, I'm excited for the game.  I will almost certainly get it day zero.  That said, this trailer did not sell me on it at all.  It seemed like a CSI game, pick up clues and analyze them, catch the guy.  I expect more from the studio who made the super-amazing Red Dead. 
 
The facial stuff was good.  Didn't have to use my imagination to see emotions in characters' faces, definitely a step up.  Wish they could have done more with the rest of the character movement - the overworld stuff (cop walking with typical videogame janky movement) didn't look next-gen.

I was already drinking the Rockstar Kool-Aid and pre-ordered this game the other day but this trailer just cements that I made the right decision. RDR wasn't just my game of the year for 2010 but the most fun and immersive game play experience I had played since Ocarina of Time. I cannot wait for this to come out.

GTA and Heavy Rain make a baby?

Damn, this game has my interest peaked like almost nothing else right now.  Technology, dude.  Technology.

Buh - Uncanny Valley.

I was very sceptical because they held back gameplay footage but this looks fucking incredible.

Now that I've seen the gameplay, I am officially interested in this game.

This pretty much blew my mind. So glad they showed gameplay footage (with the radar and stuff). The graphics aren't too bad either, MotionScan will probably distract people from the graphics. Combat looks great too.

Geeze, I like the look of the game but their ramp up to the game is going to be very drawn out isn't it. May 17th is the scheduled release date which feels far off.

The facial animation looks amazing. Easily better than anything I've seen in any game. The gameplay breakdown sounds really good too with the self contained chapter/story sections.

Wow. Good emotions on the faces without going into Uncanny Valley territory. Gameplay looks awesome as well. Nice job once again, Rockstar.

I'm still hesitant as I have never enjoyed a Rockstar game, I'll wait for a demo and reviews to come out.

Those faces amaze me, especially now that I can see they aren't just like that during cutscenes. I mean, occasionally they look slightly off, but that is I think due to the faces being captured separate from the body movements. Overall they are extremely impressive. I like them being in a crime drama. Being able to read someone's expressions, tell if they're hiding something for instance, is key to the genre.

I just hope this is not like like RDR and GTA4, where premise and technical aspects are really promising but 1/3 into the game realize that their bag of tricks is limited at the best and you spend rest of the game doing same boring stuff over and over again .

Looks great! I hope it's not just GTA in the 40s though.

Looks really awesome but the one thing that annoys me is the empty streets. I hope the final product will have more than 5 pedestrians a road...

I haven't really thought much of this game, just kinda looked like the traditional "GTA in..." But this trailer has made it look bloody epic. Heavy Rain meets GTA, and that's something I can get behind...as long as the plot isn't as convoluted.

The faces... F-ing awesome.

Now that I've seen proper gameplay, I can say that I have been converted. I will buy this on day one. 
I love Phoenix Wright and I trust the games that Rockstar publishes. Hopefully this will be a great success.

Seeing this game only for consoles makes me sad. :/

Looks amazing and it the murder mystery part is done well. It could be great. Worried about crappy side missions and the setting not  resonating with the public.

Please come to the PC.
 
This is seriously one of the best and most useful gameplay trailers.  I haven't fully committed to buying but knew it had a ton of promise and it's really useful to be able to see how the game will feel like overall now.  Maybe the faces are starting to grate less in the way they look out of place...maybe.
