Looks a lot better than I remember the OSS version looking, but not my style of game. Never felt as precise as th UT2k4s and Quakes of its day.

This was a godawful interview. 
 
Jeff tried his best but many things about that guy smacked of unprofessionalism. 

I heard about the history of this game in an older bombcast... And that, combined with that there guy, didn't really... yeah. I'm not into what's going on there. Who chews gum during an interview?!

I never thought I'd say this but.. that game needs a PR company.

This guy needs another job. If he gets money for being the PR guy, he needs to change jobs. I'm not even kidding, this was fucking awful. Also, I feel sorry for the original devs from the original game. This guy here owes everything to them for this game, and he can't even give proper credit.

Support Xonotic instead. That's where the original devs went, and it's where the spirit of this game remains. Illfonic can suck it.

Didn't the last Unreal game prove people weren't really interested in these kinds of "90's" games anymore? Or maybe it just proved I wasn't into them.

I'd buy it. Probably. As someone who never got into FPSes till Halo on the consoles, I missed all these old school shooters. Ironically, they now offer a change of pace.

 Nexuiz 2 will be called "Nextuiz". I'm calling it.

Um So um yeah we're doing lots of... unique stuff with the gameplay. Getting lots of good feedback with the game, the guns feel really.. cool. Uhhm yeah we're really happy with the game and we're doing really well. umm yeah we're doing great and w're really happy with the game.
 
Surely they should interview someone who knows something about the game. Or can talk properly, or is remotely intelligent. Or perhaps just answer questions without saying the same thing each time.

I'll buy the steam version, even though they still haven't learned their lesson from the original FOSS title - weapon design that conveys the function of the weapon by visual cues. That's possible even if you're going for alien weaponry - as it is - both in the original and this, there are lots of weapons that look like some other kind of weapon than they are. What you thought was the shotgun turns out to be the rocket launcher (close combat confused with long range/splash damage = bad), the machine gun is a triple barreled shotgun, and the sniper rifle is a submachine gun.
The map layouts in the original were great though, and I hope that remains in this version.

So, they totally missed their ship date didn't they?

This video interview is a year and a half old and the game finally comes out today February 29 2012 lol. I'm definitely buying this game today XBLA it looks very cool and it's my kind of FPS and it's only $10! btw Jeff looks different with a mustache lol
