@Krakn3Dfx: Seriously, it is. The GB duders are super nice to even humor people with answers at this point. They need to band the words from being used on GB from sources outside the GB staff, lol. I also like every every person, including "2 cool for school black dude with glasses and bowtie", think they are the special person who can ask the question and get an answer.

Look on Dave Alex's face when he drank that beer was too good.

Let's be honest here. The most awkward part of the panel was when Rich Gallup swore on camera- I think that may be the first time I've heard any profanity (gentlemanly or otherwise) pass his lips... I miss you, Rich!

@phrosnite: The Q&A is def the creepiest and most awkward part. It manages to be both entertaining and embarrassing at the same time. You get some really special people coming out of the woodwork. :)

Not insulting anyone.. I'm just commenting on the guy's uncomfortableness in front of a camera. I'm pretty sure you calling people morons is against GB's rules since I just got warned for that the other day. :p

I really dislike it when people comment against people voicing their opinion about something.

I enjoy Alex, and I will be the first to agree about certain things about him: laughing at his own jokes; being loud, etc. I'm fairly easy-going and enjoy the company of most people; I like to think I'm capable of appreciating a person for who they are and overlook the petty stuff like mannerisms because god knows I'm not perfect either (it's pretty cruel to dislike someone because of something stupid like their laugh, and it makes you seem like an unbearable person to be around, instead).

But one thing I will never understand about some people here is how they assume things about the Giant Bomb staff based purely on their own feelings. Alex isn't going anywhere unless he wants to. He's a good guy overall and has the experience to back it up. They hired and kept him after the acquisition because of those things, but also because THEY ARE ALL FRIENDS THAT CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND HAVE SO FOR MANY YEARS. You want to think Jeff and Ryan are awkward around Alex (or Patrick or Brad, for that matter) because you are and you wish that person was gone.

Disliking someone is one thing -- which is unfortunate because everyone involved are good guys -- but don't assume other people's feelings. It makes you look like a creep.

Man, this panel is always a blast, can't wait to watch this. 

gah, Q & A section was hard to listen to...  no good questions, need to start prescreening them or something.

This should have been an Alex and Patrick panel. The rest of those guys are sullying the name Giant Bomb!

Awesome to be there, see all the duders, and set up Dave Lang (follow him here @da5id ) for the Lang Zone. What an amazing time, and great to meet a bunch of rad dudes at the after party. Best. Community. Evar.

That magic segment was fucking awesome. Also I'm surprised people are still asking about the next Endurance Run, as if they haven't said a million times there won't be one anytime soon.

I was only talking about the look on Patrick's face in the video. It was hard to miss. Nice heartfelt speech though.

Wish they had more PAX to talk about. Went through borderlands, antechamber, and AC3 pretty quickly. Alex probably tried his best, but god damn the hyperbolic enthusiasm. Reminds me of high school when everything was described as the greatest thing in my life.

Anyway, aside from all this drama. Nice panel.

I've heard about the Patrick thing. I just haven't seen it happen yet, and I don't understand why. I respect Jeff quite a bit for saying that. Patrick was probably just insulted because he was new. People don't like change.

Like I said though, I didn't mean to spark an argument, or add fuel to the flames. I just thought the way Alex told that guy to find another job came off extremely awkward and a bit rude. Although, if I were a game tester, I wouldn't have asked for a private 1 on 1 meeting with GB at a Q&A.

ugh as always at Alex. He may be a good writer(not his headlines however) but man, that guy is so bad in videos. Makes anything he's in less enjoyable. I understand he's there friend, but I've been in leadership positions where I've had to hit someone with the truth, it's not easy, but these guys need to break it to Alex.
