Best DLC yet. Go buy it.

I agree with Aishan! Without a doubt, the best add-on yet for F:NV. So much crazy dialogue!

Nice!!!

Best Fallout DLC packs so far.

Is Ryan selling all his Stimpacks or something....!?

Edited by Tesla

Is that a Q35 Matter Modulator I see? No, upon further inspection I see it is in fact not.

I need a measly 8 skill points to max out mah skillz after finishing this DLC.

This is the Fallout I love. Post-apocalyptic insanity.

Best DLC yet! Love my new crib!

Man, using VATS as much as Ryan and playing this on a console. I can't even imagine.

There is what seems like an incredible amount of talking in this DLC. Even the bloody clothes talk to you. If I get a gun that talks to me, I might just give up and walk away.

I like dialogue, but wow the opening and the tank intro and everything. It's a lot.

Colon: colon: the colon.

I loved Point Lookout, but this looks to top it. Can't wait to pick it up.

Hearing good things about this DLC, but goddamn they need to show, not tell. Locked into a dialogue window for 10 minutes is a long time to take control away from the character.

Still, Rusty Venture is gettin' work.

What's the over/under of New Vegas getting a "GOTY" type of release with all the DLC?

VATS is the way to play this game, I almost never shoot anything outside VATS.

hmm,  I probably wasn't paying enough attention, but did that intro movie say everything got nuked in 2077?  I had always though the war happened in the 1950's.

The Great War was always in 2077. In Fallout world, America just never moved on culturally from the 1950s.

10 minutes is nothing, they skipped a whole load. On my playthrough it took the best part of an hour to actually shoot anything.

Where's your Stimpaks at Ryan?

Posted by KillyDarko

They missed what's perhaps the biggest homage on this whole thing... the robot is called Dr. MOBIUS! ^^
Also, this QL really shows how useless the VATS system is for the most part; you'll usually tear through an enemy a lot quicker if you don't use it.

Ahaha ahh man jeff with the juggalo jokes. You know one of these days out of some sick morbid curisoity they will attend the gathering and they will immediately regret it. Wait no, they will immediately be covered in some hicks piss from a urine balloon bomb, then they will regret it.

I finished both Fallout 3 and NV and rarely ever used VATS...

I can't not hear Dr. Venture, and I haven't even watched Venture Bros. all that much.

Posted by Smokey_Earhole

Jesus christ this game is a chatty motherfucker....

Also, looks super boringly bland

Posted by Grilledcheez

Don't aim at things that show 0% Ryan, cmon!

This DLC was the most fun I've had in a video game in ages. Wonderful stuff.

Posted by skrutop

Good voice actors in here (Captain Qwark, Dr. Venture, Cam Clark who's been in everything).

After a certain level, VATS just makes it take more time to kill people, which in Fallout is never a good thing. Cause that game's pretty long already.

I thought I heard a bit of Qwark there.

I finished the DLC yesterday. I was quite good, although Dead Money is still my favorite DLC for New Vegas.

One of those brains is totally Bill Corbett of MST3K fame.

Chill fellas.
It all depends on the type of weapons you are using and personal preference.
Some combinations are more effective in VATS some without it.

I know it's probably pretty stressing wanting to get footage for a quicklook, but completely missing the giant thing in the middle of the medical facility which had every light source in the room pointing towards it?? Come on!

Posted by Bigfroth

By far best DLC yet for NV. Cool story with funny dialogue and sweet new weapons and armor. a must buy for Fallout Fans.

Edited by spookyfaust

Is that Dr. Venture?

Edit: I guess I should watch the whole QL before posting....

Holy cow rusty venture voice outta NOWHERE

Heisenberg reference, perfect. I wish I could get back into New Vegas because science makes everything significantly better.

To be fair, there's not much there. It's just an Auto-Doc buried in rubble. Albeit one with an item hidden in the shadows next to it.

I really love this DLC. Still not finished with it yet, since there's a ton of stuff to do, but I might just skip over what side stuff I have left and come back to it after the main quest is finished. This dramatically raised my expectations for what to expect from Lonesome Road, too. It damn well better be as epic as they're building it up to be.

Posted by MeatSim

Looks like the best DLC so far. Man Dead Money was annoying.

That depends on your build. A DPS-centered build doesn't need VATS at all. Critical builds (ex: Energy Weapons) rely on it.

On topic: This DLC is amazing, but I'm tied up in Catherine right now, so I'll finish it later. But definitely a must-buy!

I don't think he was talking about Walter White.
Posted by Tha36thchamber

Great DLC. The lengthy intro doesn't make for the greatest QL, how ever. If you're a fan of Fallout: NV pick this up, you won't be disappointed.

Posted by DougQuaid

I actually just picked up New Vegas yesterday and I'm pretty pleased with it so far.

From what I'm reading, this looks to be the best DLC for New Vegas yet. So as much as I love Quick Looks, I think I'll hold off on watching this as Obsidian's strongest suit is it's storytelling.

This is surprisingly funny.

What are you talking about? They referenced Werner Heisenberg. A German theoretical physicist, famous for the Uncertainty Principle and a contributing theorist to Quantum Physics.
