The UT Impact hammer was for my money the best melee attack in any game.  It was the perfect balance of damage and difficulty hitting a target.

Given how many people have constantly complained about Team Fortress 2 never getting the updates on 360 and how much we wanted them, I would think that MNC is probably the best thing to happen for that crowd in a while.  Mind you, this is TF2-meets-DOTA at their VERY basic structures.

Nonetheless, never underestimate a good multiplayer game that can lead to having clan support.  As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this popped up in MLG playlists and such.

Also, a lot of people said that Red Faction Guerrilla wouldn't have a lasting multiplayer audience...and that game is still alive.  Hell, FAR CRY 2 still has a pretty active multiplayer community on 360!!!

I really really hope this comes to PC

Hrrgh!!!

I'm going on the road for two weeks soon, and don't have time to really play it before I go. I hope this game has an online community that lasts because it'd suck to completely miss the boat. :(

Cool, Brad Nicholson was playing with them.

I tried the demo a bit earlier today. I need to give it a bit more time and play a few more matches. 1200 Microsoft "bones" seems like a lot right now with Scott Pilgrim / Shank coming out late August.

I wasn't saying that it applies to everything, I was merely following up on the other guy's comment. I actually think this looks pretty OK. I'd probably get it if it didn't require a Gold account subscription just to purchase, which adds another $8 to the price, as well as a continued subscription to play it online considering that it probably won't last too long.  Now, if it came to Steam, I'd buy this so fast.

Great Quick Look. I bought this today and I have had a ton of fun so far.  Playing a support class has never been this fun!

Except that the XBLA crowd tends to move on from any multiplayer-focused games after a few weeks unless there's a big IP that draws them in for a longer time (Battlefield, Worms, Bomberman). Most original multiplayer game lose most of their community at some point, though being on Summer of Arcade could help extend that period for a bit.

A. This game looks good. It has the addictive qualities and the simplitude to be a huge game.

B. I like how this has kind of turned into a pro vs anti Brad topic. I mean really? Brad is a quality player. He's barely touched this game and he already has all he needs to know. And he gets killed trying to melee... but retards see it as pulling a Brad. He just showed the art of pulling a Brad. He is trying to demonstrate various aspects of a game... and he does it at a poorly chosen time. Nearly a billion other people would do the same. Only they wouldn't be discussing the various aspects of the game at the same time... on camera. He also destroyed a ton of bad guys while carrying on a conversation. I really think it's envy that drives the anti Brad movement. The same tool-bags would be griping and cussing if anyone as much as talked to them while they played. Bunch of losers.

C. This game seems to be well thought out, and fun. Maybe it would grow old after a while... but not until it as drawn an audience.

Holy motherfuckers is this game good. WELL worth the money.

A Monday Night Combat Thursday Night Throwdown has to happen. If just for the confusing title

Posted by Three0neFive

I like how people seem to think this is comparable to TF2 at all. Because seriously, from a gameplay perspective, it isn't. AI = randomness = not competitive or balanced in the slightest.

Basically this is to TF2 what MarioKart is to Gran Turismo. Fun, probably, but competitive? lolno.

I was kinda dissapointed with this QL. There's a lot of "what else should I mention/show". Dude, if it's relevant information, write it down or something. Prepare in advance. What's the learning curve like, would you recommend it and who would you recommend it to... stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, I love the casualness, randomness and improvization of GB, that's why it's my favorite gaming website. It just sometimes seems that all that get's in the way of getting stuff done proper.

Really considering buying this game, seems like I could actually get my moneys worth out of it(unlike the rest of the summer of arcade titles). Any plans to do a Thrusday Night Throwdown for the game?

Posted by tunaburn

you can melee by clicking in the right stick. you can only GRAPPLE with the secondary weapon

I can't do shooters on consoles at all. Just can't. With a tremendous amount of luck, this might be released for pc at some point? nah.. probably not..

TF2 still has a big enough community on 360. Also, MNC is awesome, except for the lag and framerate drops.

Hopefully next week, but that might end up being K&L2 TNT. Two weeks from now maybe.

I would very much enjoy if this was on PS3 or PC.

Not everyone is happy settling for second best control methods.

I like some shooters on consoles, but I understand people who don't want to deal with the slow turning and auto-aiming.

What? You mean... they ripped off the colours of red and blue? Is there anything specific that you're thinking of here?

I'm probably never going to play this game, but it seems like the kind of thing I'd be into.
