This game looks awesome, but does it play awesome?

Posted by Droop

How do you do it Digital_Sin? D:

Posted by Venatio

I would play this if it was on PS3, PS2 or X360

No thanks to a Wii version though

Posted by dagas

I don't have a Wii otherwise I would get this. Instead I finally bought Odin Sphere =P

Posted by mikeeegeee

what the hell do didgeridoo's have to do with fucking Halo? i'm getting real sick of hearing that damned instrument in that damned commerical.

this is a really cool looking game though

Posted by Slasher71

I so wish Atlus had done the localization like they did for Odin Sphere.  I feel something got lost because of it.

I usually don't go into such comments but i really have to ask, why?

This game seems really, 'meh.' That's not to say the game doesn't look beautiful, but the gameplay is just copy and paste.

Seems pretty booring :o

Kind of like every shooter on the market these days?
Posted by DrRandle

Personally, if nothing else, I love playing with a wii-mote and nunchuck. That separated controller allows me to sit and play in way more comfortable positions. Usually I drape my left arm over my belly while the right hand just rests on the arm rest. It feels way good, and way more comfortable than any other controller. I think Sony and M-Soft should look into separating their controllers into halves for comfort sake :D

The game looks badass.

This game is going to sell exactly 12 copies

Yeah expect the story in this seems to be about as good as what I write on my napkin at lunch.

I don't understand the hate directed toward this game. Is it because it's on the Wii? It looks fantastic.

sold all 20 copies we got at my store yesterday?
Posted by Sanj

Getting it.
Posted by Hailinel

I have this game.  It is pure awesome.  Anyone that bitches and avoids the game because it's on the Wii is missing out.

Posted by LaszloKovacs

If this were on anything other than the Wii, I would be playing it right now.

My order from Amazon should arrive in a few minutes. GET EHRE ALREYDYD

Posted by Dan_CiTi

Press the damn B button.

Posted by TheMustacheHero

Seems repetitive, but will become one of those hard to find games like ICO because of it's art style...

Posted by RVonE

Man, I'm really sold on this game but I don't think I'm ready to buy a Wii just yet... I wish it would come to 360 or PS3.
Posted by Tordah

So what's the deal with Japan and talking foxes?

@Hailinel: you speak the trut

That is music to my ears

This game rocks, and I can't wait to watch the quick look (don't have time right now)
Posted by CommodoreGroovy

This quick look wasn't enough to get me excited for this game. I'll wait for the review and see from there.

I think the dev's really need to work on the gameplay of their games. This and Odin Sphere are by far the most beautiful 2-d games I've ever seen, but Odin Sphere's combat is pretty bad and this game seems to suffer from there as well.
Posted by SoothsayerGB

If this was on XBL Arcade, I'd be willing to pay 15 bucks for it.  But nothing makes we want a Wii.

They're one of the principle beings in Japanese (Shinto?) mythology. Kinda like cats in Egyptian culture.
Posted by Metal_Mills

If this was on XBLA I'd buy it.

Posted by Hailinel
@Tordah: In Japanese mythology, foxes are thought to be shape-shifting spirits.  They would most frequently (but not exclusively) disguise themselves as beautiful women.

exactly how I felt about Odin Sphere, and Muramusa. I looooved the art style, but I didn't make it past the first story arc since it was just not fun to me.. and the frame-rate on the final boss made it unplayable.

Okay, now i've seen the quick look, and i'm a bit dissapointed in the presentation. For one, there is an obvious difference between every sword, that being their special attack. It's hard for me to believe that Drew never even attempted to press the B button while playing, but if he had, he would have realized that each sword has its own special ability (ala spirits in pretty much any modern castlevania game). Also, you can tell when a sword is going to break by the meter on the top middle of the screen, under the name of the blade you currently have out. Kudos for doing so well without the b button, but you missed out on roughly half of the combat mechanic.

This game has no frame-rate issues. Just putting that out there

Looks awesome.  If I had the money, I would buy it.

Posted by ahoodedfigure

Beautiful artwork.  Too bad we can't hear the music :)

Posted by snattu

Can't help thinking that this should have been a downloadable PSN/XBLA game. Too bad.

Posted by CSXLoser

just beat Kisuke's route :D

Posted by Rinkalicous

This game def looks like the kind of thing I'd buy on an impulse for XBLA, but I dunno if the depth of the combat is there to justify the £40.

Posted by Chris2KLee

Well, time to bust out the old dusty Wii. Unless TGS has some super surprises in store, I can't see myself keeping this system much longer, and in reality No More Heroes 2 is the only thing keeping me from cashing it in.

Posted by Smarter_Martyr

I loled when Ryan died. We all know it was Brad's fault.

Edited by raikoh05
@RVonE: word, I want this game in HD.

they said the assets are twice the resolution as they appear in the wii version, so its a possibility.
Posted by Kratch

It reminds me of that old NES game The Legend of Kage, in a good way.

Edited by Pappasman

muramasa is so much fun.

last night i got a 999 combo

Edited by Claude

It's not on my hardcore machine. Fucking crybabies, buy a goddamn Wii or quit your fucking bitching.

Posted by CrazyCraven

I think on some level we all love cat-ladies

Posted by Earthborn

Oh God, not furries!

I really like the air-dash combat, and the ability to juggle dead enemies to your heart's content.

Posted by DonChipotle

This game is fantastic.
