Its fun, co-op gets impossible fast though.

Posted by Hangnail

A surprisingly fun and highly replayable game...! Support this very promising independent studio and get this game if you feel like its your cup o' tea!

Posted by Rolyatkcinmai

lol the blurb about the game under the video is really well written.....

Posted by Jumbs

This doesn't look bad actually.

Posted by Scotto

Co-op seems interesting, but this game also seems like it would get pretty old pretty fast.  Maybe I'm just bored with tower defense in general.

Was wondering when they would do a QL of this. A friend and I played this game for a good solid week or two about a month ago. It's pretty fun, but it's really hard, even on the easy settings, and it does sadly get repetitive after a while.

Same.

Watching this has made me imagine how bloody brilliant a mode like this would be in a Borderlands game.

Edited by StealthRaptor

Very cool, I'll definitely grab this if there's a sale.

Edit: Is there actually 4 player coop? It doesn't mention anything about it on the steam page.

Edited by SomeDeliCook

Brad got quite a few facts wrong about this. The one that stuck out the most was "You can only use the secondary to the freezegun once per round" All ammo actually regenerates over time, using the secondary just means a longer regeneration period.

Also, gatlings are really useless. Scatter Lasers are the best tower in the game. They shoot quick, have good accuracy, can hit flying enemies, and do a good amount of damage. The only time you'd need a gatling is when you get the little runners.
And you can pick whatever level you want in co-op.

Music in this game is pretty awesome.

I really don't like tower defense games, but this actually looks cool.

Worst maze ever

There is no 4 player co-op in the game at the moment but the team has said that it is in production.

Is "Sanctum" the most generic video game name possible?

Sanctum: Origins: The Reckoning?

Posted by Raciend

Looks kinda cool, maybe I'll get this in the summer, when I got some money to burn. Already got 250+games on steam over the last few years =( GOT NO CASH FOR FOOD!

this game makes me feel like puking for some reason..

Won't lie, the bit that appealed to me most was seeing all those numbers fly off dudes as they were shot. That tickled some part of my brain in Borderlands, and I want to see it in more first person games.

Posted by EgoCheck616

Just picked this up on Steam. Downloading now.

@Fattony12000: doesn't mean you need to spam their videos. :)

Yes....And from what I see, no reason for this game not to be on consoles. And some games visa versa on Pc. But it seems Microsoft gets a little funny about that at times. Of course there is the PSN /Steam connection to consider, though that may not excite right now. at least the PSN side of it.

Likewise! Numbers make me feel good.

Also robot voice sold me this game.

I think this game puts potential in the right area for games like this but I personally don't think this is amazing enough for the purchase(though I suppose if its not popular we might not see a similar game for a long time), This has much more potential in terms of what kinds of towers and and weapons could be used, not to mention the feel of the weapons and towers it has feels week in general.

Posted by PoisonJam7

So it's Toy Soldiers in the future?

Posted by BeachThunder

I have to say, this genuinely looks fascinating :o

Posted by radioactivez0r

Dr. Watson, is that you?

This made me think that a cool idea for a game would be something in this vein, but with a Bioshock-y vibe of combining elements, i.e. lightning turrets after dousing them in water first, but with the requisite R-P-S strategy to it.

This is pretty much the one genre I don't see any appeal at all in. Especially not how it became it's own genre with lots of retail games. I mean, sure, I spent some time with the original StarCraft maps and Newgrounds flash tower defense games back in 1999-2000 or so, but as stand alone games? I grew bored with the ridiculously repetitive nature within weeks after learning about these games, how it's more alive than ever 12 years later is just ... strange. And how these games are about 1500 times more common than the classic base building RTSes they first appeared in is incomprehensible.

@fisk0: I wasn't interested in TD games either until I played Defense Grid. It made me realize that it's just a different type of puzzle game and I like puzzle games. Also, the very first TD game I played was a WC3 map that wasn't that fun.

Of course, I still find the majority of TD games boring but I no longer ignore the genre like I used to do.
