Aliens, really? Totally didn't' see this coming.

Meh.  Need a better gameplay trailer to sell me on this one.  I wanna shoot dudes, not aliens.

The aliens actually look intimidating.

I was hoping that since this is under ground you might be able to destroy earth but I guess not :(

uh oh- i loved redfaction 1, but then 2 got very "story heavy" and "pre rendered background" heavy, and we lost the destruction. Then red faction guerilla went back to the story light/destruction heavy model that was fun again, but this is now underground with aliens and plot... i see this might be heavy on the story and backgrounds but a step back in destruction. And if i want story I'll buy dead space 2, i want DESTRUCTION!!!!!!!

So it's Dead Space or Doom 3 or something? Cmon, Red Faction. The whole point of your game used to be about burrowing giant tunnels in the walls, then shooting the enemies with a rail gun where they couldn't possibly see you. Please bring that back.

well maybe instead of razing down a huge building with a hammer we'll be able to mine for copper or stuff instead.

A return to subterranean environs reminiscent to the original Red Faction? YES DAMMIT! YES!

Can I get a ride back to earth? So I don't have to live underground with killer aliens.

I don't see how this is "Red" Faction anymore... 
At least in Guerrilla, it seemed "Red" because the miners had like a Socialist uprising.

I love that everybody is already passing judgement on this game's content, when all we've seen is a flickering, stuttering trailer showing almost no actual gameplay.

That bridge-building gun looks kinda neat. It's like the reverse of the Nano Rifle from RF:Guerrilla. 
 
But yeah, that trailer told me nothing except caves and aliens.

Need more information.
 
 A return to the old environment seems like a cool idea, but aliens definitely seem like a poor one without any further knowledge - I imagine it will take away from the whole "human drama" element that makes up the crux of the motivation and story for every previous Red Faction game.
 
That being said, I bet the aliens blow up real good.

hopefully there are cavern areas big enough to might as well be open world areas, and with lots of buildings to destroy.

The first one was great as a sleeper hit with the destructibility and the hammer, but i do not know what the devs were thinking with this one...

Red Faction Guerrilla was such an  awesome fun game, can not wait to play this.  The new enemies look like some kinda nightmarish cave dwelling bug machines, sweet.

Get those C4 charges ready.

Thank God it wasn't a shitty CG announcement trailer. Not too sure about this monster stuff and I didn't see him with a hammer and that worries me more. What's Red Faction without a hammer? Nothing.

Anyways, regardless of the comparison, this does look interesting none the less and I am actually looking forward to another red faction game!
