I love Relic and their games as much as the next 40K fan, but why the hell can't they make trailers like normal people instead of putting in devs telling me how much I will love the game in their trailers?

Agreed. Genuinely excited now that I've seen a little more variety in the environmental art - was worried it'd all be browns, grays and industrial corridors.

Well, actually this trailer looked really good. Kinda spoilery though.

This game might go wrong, but as a 40k fan it is still day one for me.

I played through the first two Gears of War games, and was always bummed that they are so focused on shooting.

This looks like way more fun. After all, what is the point of being a burly dude if you don't get physical with the enemies?

Yup, this game has just been elevated to "Day One Purchase" status.

I absolutely head over heels love everything about this game, except the gameplay. Every time I see people actually play the game it's the same handful of finishers and the same boring gameplay ad nauseam. I think I'm going to wait for this game to go on sale on Steam for $10-$15, because I just don't feel like it's worth paying full price for because of the gameplay portions. Plus it's not even launching with co-op and they are going to patch it in later.

Looks pretty cool, though the infuriating buzzword "Triple-A entertainment product." is horrible.

holy spoilers in a video batman, i feel like i just lost a ton of suprise from those scenes they were showing (ie that theres a titan and the inquisitor is gonna be corrupted/or is just a bad guy). but damn this game looks amazing

Cool, you've got sound effects. What about the background environments on the train sequence? Did Ed from Marketing whip those up in an afternoon? What happened to good old trailers where the imagery spoke for itself without the need for people to tell you how epic it is?

Although I definitely plan on picking up the game day 1, some of the quotes in this video just makes me cringe. We get it, you like your game, but I'll bet a ton of money that there's not really anything revolutionary about it.

This game looks cool, unfortunately Gears 3 is coming out so i'll probably pick this up next year when it's real cheap.

Oh snap it's one of those "Developer Diaries" with greenscreened, dressed up, fake smiling game developers (of course multiple of them) explaining while their game is indeed fucking awesome.
 
I take real interviews over this crap any day. But sadly publishers realized how easily you can influence a kinds mind by creating those "Developer Diaries" (awful, awful term). Hell even C&C 4 had those. And that even though the guys who sat there smiling knew they were going to get fired after the games launch...

"The orchestra comes to life when it's a real orchestra." They really needed some better commentary for this video. Game looks cool though, might check it out depending on reviews.

Reminded me of a mass effect trailer. Full orchestra's are awesome, so is great sound design.

The one in the trailer looked liked a Warlord or a Reaver titan but not exactly like either. I hope they have an Emperor class titan in the game, which btw is a titan so big that it has a full sized cathedral structure on it back.

Gonna be good but seeing the devs describing it as an interactive movie could not be further off the mark for what I want out of 40k...
 
Also the framerate was terrible throughout so I hope they don't leave it like that. Why do publishers always think we won't notice the abysmal frame skipping in their prerelease hype videos?
 
But I'm sure the game will be EPIC and Space Marines are such big BADASSES that I'm totally ready to JUMP IN and start using the RANGED AND MELEE SYSTEMS in a truly VISCERAL and CINEMATIC manner. Fart.

Clearly you've never been inside of a video game studio. It is a much more pleasant experience than you might imagine. These guys have every right to smile. I know I do.

This. Though, these types of dev diaries (popularized by Halo series, I believe) are always obvious marketing gimmicks.

Did everyone catch a bad day? That seems like a lot of hate for a random trailer. Is it marketing? Sure, but the game still looks nice and who says they are not actually excited about their game?

Video shows titan, all else forgotten.. game purchase locked in...
