God awful trailer.Don't see Pro Ev overtaking Fifa anytime soon...oh how the mighty have fallen.

As a bloody colonial, this is not the football I know. Plus 'history will be made'?? Let me guess, guy kicks the ball a lot (just like every other soccer game), yes that's not really history as much as a big amount of deja vu.

I always felt that Pro Evolution was better than FIfa-until I played Fifa '10 and compared it to Pro Evo 2010. For me, whilst Fifa tried to expand in as many ways as possible to make football fresh again, Pro Evolution did not change the game after Pro Evolution 3.

Will Konami finally deliver on the promises they've been making for the last 3-4 Pro Evos?

My guess is it will fall short of FIFA, yet again.  The glory days of PES are long gone and I really dont think they can catch back up again any time soon.

Given the growth of the sport in the US and the fact that you have decent size UK and aussie and European audience covrage of football (soccer) games maybe a good idea along with golf, american football, NBA etc.

I remember when Pro was the best, never thought in a million years Fifa would take over. Seabass needs to do something.

You guys should cover sports games more. Even if it's just for comedic reasons.

Pro has amazing visuals yes but until they can back it up without shoddy gameplay and really bad movement animations , And thats before even touching the state of the online servers I might consider buying it again.

they should be touting a million new fixes to make the game better, the fact that they don't want to use this trailer to tell everyone how much they've improved makes me think this is still stuck in it's shitiness from the last 4 years.

I dunno, the team behind PES does have the ambition to make great football games. I don't have high hopes, but PES pretty much dominated last generation so a comeback would be nice.

I preferred PES 10 to FIFA 10, so will most likely get this.

Always have to laugh at Brits who get annoyed when its called soccer and not football. Yet the word is often used by the British media, 'soccer saturday' - 'soccer a.m', this game is called 'pro evolution SOCCER'. The word itself even came from the UK.  
 
Anyway, yeah, i'd love a good PES game again. FIFA is a good solid game, but i'm just a bit bored with it at this stage. Especially if you;re not much of an online player as the offline modes suck. Master League used to kick ass like five or six years ago yet FIFA haven't even come close to matching that yet...We also need a full edit mode...which i know is less of a requirement as FIFA has all the licenses, but still, I'd still love to be able to customise the game, create classic sides, fine tune the players already in the game to get them looking even more like their real life counterparts.

As an argentinian, I gotta say, fuckin' sucks to see our own Messi portrayed in Barcelona (Spain club) colors. Admittedly that is where he's shined the most, but it still sucks.

Pointless video. As a old PES fan I will still probably try out the demo but most likely will get next Fifa again.

Haha to me it's so funny to see that in the us this game just has no role whatsoever. in europe (in holland anyways that i know) this and fifa are BY FAR the biggest releases of the year. i work in a game store and its funny to see that 2 weeks after release it is impossible to find nhl 10. baseball and madden are not even released here. 
but, you crazy americans obviously do not get the point of soccer, and more power to ya

To be honest, I miss the old International Superstar Soccer games with fake football stars like Allejo, Galfano, Kolle, Redonda and Murillo. This one seems ok though, but FIFA is better.

Hope it finally delivers. Trailer is more than a month old though :P

FIFA is better in all aspects except for gameplay.  I'll stick with PES, much better ball physics and a strategically superior game.
