RUSE Walkthrough: Radio Silence

WWII....awesome....

It's a really cool-looking engine and it seems like the "deception" mechanic could be fun to use, but I just can't get excited about yet another game set in WWII.

Some cool gameplay ideas, but I'm not a big fan of the board-game style. Or WWII, for that matter.

Graphics look great, but I dunno about the gameplay.

Overall, kinda disappointed that they're following up Act of War with this.

I'm already disappointed with the game: I'm sure the RTS and ruse mechanics will work, but the first trailer raised my expectations to 2030 standards (that's the year when every person will have a Microsoft Surface in their house). Microsoft should take initiative here and work with the R.U.S.E. guys to actually bring the game to the Surface and guarantee immediate sales world-wide.

since when did people go from whining about WWII shooters to WWII in general? This seems like i fancy version of RISK or I hope it is a fancy version of RISK.

Yeah the British were in this battle... my Uncle fought in it... so quite why they have american sounding allied voices for this battle is beyond me.

Looks pretty cool to me.  The narrator sounds like he just came from a voice over session for the History Channel.

Wished schools would use this to teach history classes....it'd make them way more interesting!

Radio silence should give a penalty as well since your units won't be able to communicate because the radios are off.

that radio silence skill should only let you derect your units  once before you can't see them again or make it hard for you to control them
  sense they can't  you know,   radio  command?

Doesn't look like it does anything too special at the moment.  Making a unit invisible and taking it behind enemy lines to destroy key enemies isn't exactly new.  Guess I'll wait for a couple more of these videos before I pass judgment.
