Sam Fisher's Vengeance

Jeff, I love you man, but Michael Ironside is a badass. I wouldn't buy a Splinter Cell game if he wasn't voicing Sam Fisher. 
 
Question: Is the music in this trailer from the same guy who does the theme song for "The Wire?"

But the trailer is awesome. I just hope they didn't dumb down the gameplay too much and we have a GOTY pretender.

It's extremely weird hearing Sam Fisher's voice saying the title of the game. I don't believe I ever heard Michael Ironside say "Splinter Cell", at least not in the game or even in a trailer. The very first Splinter Cell trailer though (for the very first game) used the main operative's voice (which, at that time, was not voiced by Michael Ironside), saying: "I'm Sam Fisher. I'm a Splinter Cell."
 
It just sounds kind of wrong, the narrator of the story, who is also the main character, saying the title of a production.

Badass: The Game strikes again. That trailer was maybe one of the most awesome trailers of this year so far imo.

Yeah... no. While I like the MGS series better then Splinter Cell, the gameplay in SC has always been much better. The game looks really good, you probebly should turn up the quality in the video a bit and you'll notice it too. Also, Conviction has been in development long before MW2 and I seriously doubt they added a white house level just because another game had it. And concidering that the whole premice of the game is built on goverment conspiricy and cover ups its a pretty logic place to have a level.  Theres no need to start bashing and lashing out at a game that for all we've seen of it looks to be really awesome.  You really should seperate your own personal preferences and the quality of a game. Just because you don't like a game or gameseries doesn't make them bad, they just aren't games for you. "

Game looks amazing. Co-op looks awesome, Sing player looks awesome. Awesome!

That's not the white house it's the Pentagon.  And since you mention logic, it would actually be illogical for it to be the white house since the white house is simply a figure head type building and the Pentagon tends to be where all the main special forces/intelligence decision get made. So since the Third Echelon is a secret branch of the Pentagon in-game It makes even more sense for them to do it there. "

NVG are the one think that is keeping me interested in this game ;)

I am super super bummed that this is exclusive to the XBox. Luckily my roommate has an XBox so provided he buys it... I'll be able to play it.  
 
I've loved me some Splinter Cell for a long ass time and this looks awesome.

 
Awsome trailer!  Love how at 1:15 the shot of Sam Fisher "executing" the dude matches up with the beat of the music.

Weird, I had a better impression of the graphics from their E3 demo.
 
We shall see about the sonar goggles. In a recent showing on GameSpot, the dude said that Sam would get some of his old equipment back and he specifically mentioned the goggles. If the 3 dots are green and they tint the screen in a green tone, I don't care if they supposedly work sonar-based.
