I've played 3 levels of this so far, and the engine is super janky. It's still serious sam, but they dole out new weapons veeeery slowly.

I really hope this game gets better.

In todays world there really isn't any room left for these sort of games. The world has evolved and moved on I have no idea why they'd actually waste resources on this instead of coming up with some interesting new IP that has maybe even an ounce of depth to it.

Rofl you sound EXACTLY like you've never played an SS game. Serious Sam has more depth than most first person shooters ,both in gameplay and in character.

You can't possibly mean that. Define what "most first person shooters" means to you exactly. I've played SS before roughly in 2000 or whenever it was popular and I don't remember it having amazing depth or character.

I got the game on steam and played it, this game, is FUCKING SERIOUS. There are games that are hard, but this is FUCKING RIDICULOUS! I played Survival on Death (DEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATH) Canyon - can't even fucking survive for 3 minutes...

yea i got that feeling too. doesnt look like they are changing the formula that much, just more serious sam in HD. Prolly be decent at best.

Dude, YASE PLZ! That sounds effing amazing.

It was SS, the Second encounter that I really liked. The first SS just didn't wow me, and SS 2 made me think something creepy had crept under Sam's manly skin..well he did get laid but...I think it was the turds overflowing the toilet, or the decomposing dead rabbit next to the meat grinder that put me off.

But the Second encounter seemed all highs and few lows, with some interesting easteraggs, or at least they were amusing. Liked some of the graphics suprisingly, also.

I hope this game goes back to something like that....

Disappointing, and I didn't have high expectations! Actually, I only had only 3:

1. Set at least part of the game in someplace other than a fucking desert - 2. Load up with a whole new crop of crazy enemy designs - 3. Compliment that with a whole new crop of weapons.

From all I have seen, we're getting 1 out of 3: the weapons. And then, only sort of. Kind of. I think I might have seen one new one in there? Not really? Anyway, those are low standards for a sequel, and they couldn't hit them.

This looks like the Serious Sam HD remixes (which I liked, on the cheap).

I see Mr. Actiongeneric is at it again. Better update my list.

I love to watch a bot play through this. It would be amazing to see it dodge missiles with pixel perfect accuracy and beat a level without ever taking a hit.
