I don't think the Japanese voice acting is better just because you can't comprehend it.

Yep, it's final fantasy. Voice acting is decent, the combat looks interesting... could of done without the random clips from the story set to crappy j-pop though.

I don’t know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I’m an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It’s not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance. 

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase FFXIII for either system, nor will they purchase any of Square’s games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square has alienated an entire market with this move.

Square, publicly apologize and cancel FFXIII for 360 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

I was pretty much grinning from the cheesy-ness I'm getting from the game and facepalming at the same time... The voice acting is meh, but we'll see. Though FF13 is going to be on my top list on games to buy, asides from MW2.

Seems like final fantasy is now just driven by cute girls, vein males,  cheesy story and pop music... They should take a look at FFVII... are same people even still working at square!!!

Also, I decided the voice acting is going to be awesome after hearing the line, "You think you die and everything will be sugar and rainbows!?" It's not all synced perfectly, but the delivery was great.

Wish this was 360 exclusive so they didn't have to tone down the blood and violence, once again the 360 is kept from reaching its full potential because the ps3 version is holding it back.

Beautifully rendered cutscenes and what looks like a fairly entertaining battle system, ruined by corny melodramatic dialogue and poor storytelling. Hey, it's a new Final Fantasy game!

What this game needs is a multi-headed dick to cleanse it out of all foppish corn. I thought most Final Fantasy was the veritable cheese king of the RPG fandom, this is downright cheez whiz that even  Uwe Boll wouldn't touch. Give me Persona meat dimension of absurdity over this highfalutin soap any day.

This is just embarrassing. How could those voice actors say that dialogue with a straight face? It's just... ugggh.
 
I mean, didn't you expect that girl to say at one point: "It was raining the day I was born." And then the other chick goes, "And you were the Lightning in that rain."

The lip synching is very distracting... VERY distracting.

Yeah it's pretty rare in a game where the voice acting doesn't make me roll my eyes.  This wasn't bad.  Progress!

Anybody just not liking these new FF settings? Its like FF8, but like even more techno. I liked the more traditional medieval settings.

That guy doesn't look right. There's no men's men in these sorta games it's all fairies with bad goatees. Except for the dude with the afro, he looks badass!

Everyone has such clear skin in Final Fantasyland.

Man, I hope that the voice overs can be turned off in favor of text only.
At least if I read it in my head like a book I can make the character voices in my head fit the dialogue a lot better.
 
EDIT: Wow now that I have finished that I must say... the trailers music was not fitting at all. (In my opinion horrible.)
