South Park: The Stick of Truth Delayed to March 4

Doesn't this look just a little bit designed for an I-pad?

Noooooo! That video was great, and made me want the game even more. I'm holding off on the new consoles for a while, and South Park was going to be my major game purchase this fall.

I'm generally not a fan of turn-based combat at all, but I'll have to play this.

Exactly. They worked on The Book Of Mormon for 7 years until it was ready. This is the first game they've really had a hand in making, and with them being fans of video games they know most South Park games have sucked. They want this to be good.

Wow, this actually looks really good. I'd never seen gameplay videos of this before, but I just assumed it would be shit. Ya know, because every other licensed video game.

This actually looks pretty good, except for that UI... It just looks really rough and out-of-place, oh well, at least they have more time to fix that now.

The Skyrim chants are a nice touch...classy.

Odd they delayed it but hopefully it will come out as it looks fun.

This actually looks pretty damn awesome. I can see why they've delayed it though, there are parts of it that seem to lack detail and polish; most notably the sound design.

I'm actually really excited for this now, I had no idea what kind of game it was going to be. This is awesome.

And Ubisoft continue to let the gaming world cry out in disappointment over a ruined Q4........

I think I remember reading somewhere that the UI looks like that on purpose as a parody of the Facebook UI

Good, Obsidian needs all the time they can get. Their games are always a buggy mess.

Edit: After watching the video the game play intrigues me.

I hope now that Ubisoft has their filthy hands on it they don't go out of their way to screw this up on PC like they always do.

This looks so great. It sucks but I guess I don't mind a delay if they need the time, just make it good.

Although I am mildly bummed, I really cant be upset when a game gets delayed. I would rather have a finished product than a buggy mess and well... we are talking about Obsidian here which makes amazing games, amazing games with lots of bugs. I also think it will sell better in march, I felt that releasing it in December after all the big name games and the new console launches was a really bad idea

I think this is a good thing actually. Obsidian has a history of being forced to release games before they are ready. I'd rather they get the time they need to iron out what isn't working for once.

i've always been kinda surprised about the almost unanimous positivity this game has received so far, but it's also kind of refreshing. tbh i'm quite looking forward to it myself (it actually seems like they're trying after some recent meh seasons).

My thoughts exactly this looks incredible.

@gaftra: I think that was the point? They are playing an RPG within an RPG so the character sheets are literally the spread sheets they are using to create their characters in the game just like you would in actual D&D.

This looks so cool! The only concern I can think of is if they've written enough of those in-battle one-liners that they dont get tired after a while. Really pumped for this

They should release it on next gen consoles. I don't want to play a 360/PS3 game in March anymore than I want to play a Wii game now.

Relax everybody. It takes time to develope a game that pushes existing hardware to it's limits like this powerhouse.

I love how Cartman even insults the player character, that's just perfect. =)

Looks amazing and seeing actual gameplay now will only make the wait harder, but I assume they tried to move it out of the new console muck, but a week before Titanfall prob isn't much better.

Looks pretty awesome! The fact that the battle system seems very similar to the Mario & Luigi games is definitely a good thing for me. I mean, Butters even did an attack where he lifts up a hammer and then you have to hit a button at the right time!

For the first time I am optimistic about this game after seeing this kickass video, and the now the game is delayed...
