January 25th, man the first quarter of 2011 is going to be crazy again, maybe crazier than last year. The first Dead Space was one of the best games of 2007 too bad it did not sell amazingly. I do not think the multiplayer is going to push this to be the multi-million seller but hopefully it will find an audience and get there anyways.

Fuck this looks amazing.. I loved the first Dead Space and was kinda concerned when they said they wanted to make it a little less scary. Well, THIS doesn´t look like a walk in the park. I´m sure I will be scared playing this game in a dark room with headphones on :)

He had a face in the first one...

Man, I hated the story in the first game. Stupid death cultists and whatnot, everyone was either being a dick or was going to die (or both). And the whole thing with your wife whom you have no reason to care about because aside from a few hidden log entries Isaac has no personality. 
 
Gameplay was alright though.

A lot of that trailer looked too clean.

he looks like almost every other male video game character.

I loved the ending of the first game and am really interested to see exactly what happened to him.

It's definitely dead space.  And I will yet again wait til it's $10 before purchasing :)

I really hope they don't go the Call of Duty/Michael Bay route with this game. The suspense and pacing is what made the first one so good.

I found Dead Space to be particularly boring, over-hyped, samey and terribly cliche. I might give it another chance when I can be bothered.

This trailer has me psyched. 
 
The only thing I'm worried about is when one of the members of the development team said, in a Game Informer interview, that one of the things they wanted to address with Dead Space 2 was the issue of making the player feel more powerful. 
 
I felt that, even on the highest difficulty setting, Dead Space 1 struck an ideal balance between a feeling of dreadful vulnerability and the confidence of being able to cope with shit getting crazy.

Goddamn. It sounds like they stole William Gibson's
Aliens 3 script & turned it into the movie plot for Dead
Space 2.  This isn't a bad thing in my opinion.
 
What's missing in these future games is showing a 
world without it being filled with demons and/or 
violence. This is one of the reasons Mass Effect
has been so successful.  Flesh out the world around
the story.
 
I'll probably rent Dead Space 1, or if I can pick it up
for $5 or less, I'll try it.
