Just to clear this up, you can play as every class in this mode. They just didn't show every class in this trailer. Pyro, Spy etc are all in it. It's 6 players that is the limit, not 6 classes!

The Spy and the Sniper were missing too, but it's a six-player mode, so there had to be some cuts. :P

All the characters will be there. They are just not all in the video.

So why did Valve even release the Source Filmmaker if they are pretty much just telling people to go fuck themselves by releasing videos like this?

Oh man, I am so waiting the dl of this. Best part is it's free and pretty much every steam owner has it. Bonus points if you also like TF2. Which I do. :)

For what it's worth, the general opinion the crew has is very incorrect in that most players on the default quick-play servers are pretty terrible. You are generally able to hop in and get playing without getting destroyed by weirdo neckbeards who have played this game for 5 years straight. There are a lot of people at all different skill levels, you just gotta put in the effort to find a server that fits you. Maybe the co-op will get more people interested but I really hope that people who have been avoiding the game because the prospect of going against losers like me who have been playing a cartoon video game shooty man hat sim for years and years stick around.

Alright, that's it. I'm booting into Windows right now and downloading TF2.

@Soral: Yeah I was pretty bewildered during the podcast when they said that. I don't consider myself very good at most First Person Shooters, but I find I can usually place in the top 3 fairly easily, and that's with less than 100 hours game time.

The console version hasn't been updated in 5 years. I'm not even joking. It's a beta build that they run.

I'm just saying this that video completely destroys anything anybody will ever make with it.

It's like I'm really watching a fight between the regular version of TF2 and the German version!

@Flacracker: I really think, or at least I hope, "People are better than me at thing! Won't do thing!" isn't a common attitude of someone who's going to bother to mess around in SFM in the first place.

yeah I was also baffled with this...

This is disappointing, 99cents for each match(win) to play on a real server with stat tracking and loot drops. Either make the stat tracking free across the board or make this a 5/10 dollar dlc with rare drops rather than a guaranteed drop every game for a dollar.

Yeah. Microsoft won't let them have free DLC or update TF2 in the fashion they do, so the 360 version is essentially dead. And Valve hated the PS3 back when this released, so yeah.
