If you ever played the first two games on the harder difficulties, you know that shootdodging is a horrible tactic that leads to getting killed. I remember in the original Max Payne you would die in like one or two shots if you were playing on Dead on Arrival.

MP and MP2 were all about rolling to dodge fire and going into bullet-time to line up headshots.

I feel like this guy could describe almost anything and I'd be deeply fascinated. He makes bullet time shooting sound like a science documentary that despite how cool it seems to be implemented in MP3 here is really still just a gimmick that will definitely get tiring at points in the game.

I'm not a fan of the way his left arm just goes limp when he does the slow motion forward jump, looks kinda stupid.

Any other brazilians could decipher what the hell was written in the wall they show at the thumbnail? "Nós cansemos de fazer o bem porque a seu tempo..."? (We're tired of doing good because at your time...?)

The character animations don't appear to be herky-jerky, which is great, but I wonder if the BulletTime® will get boring after a while.

The control scheme of this game felt really wonky when I played it at PAX, but the kill cinematics were freaking great.

I pre-ordered Max Payne 3 on Steam and got the first two games in the series for free. Now I will have plenty of time to play though them and get caught up on the series just in time for Max Payne 3. I'm quite excited for this game, it looks excellent and the physics look phenomenal.

I kind of feel like Max needs to learn some sweet Wushu flips, rolls, and kick-ups so he can recover stylishly dodges more gracefully than belly-flopping on the ground and then lurching back to his feet. Had a lot of fun with kung-fu mods for Max Payne 2. I hope to see the same.

To maximize style give us the tools. Let that gun ballet flow, getting stopped on the ground is no fun. Breakpoints with regular cover, followed by grabbing mooks for some mobile protection, then climbing and springboarding off the guy for additional dodge action. If shootdoging and sliding into the wall, spin the character around so he contacts feet first for a reverse slide back away...just keep it flowing.

I like the ballistic damage that they have shown. Arterial blood spurts, entrance & exit wounds, bleeding out, and writhing on the floor while holding the wound area. Bad ass. I'm going to be shooting The femoral, bronchial, and carotid all day.

Then don't play on harder difficulties. Play on normal difficulty and enjoy shootdodging. Sounds like good entertainment to me!

No. You could simply tap right mouse button to go into bullet time mode which makes everything move in slow motion including Max. But since that depleted the bullet time bar quickly, people only used it when they had to get one perfect shot on someone. Otherwise they'd shootdodge since it uses a limited amount of bullet time.

Yeah... I don't know. Maybe this could all work. Getting a strong Kane and Lynch 2 vibe from the art style, heavy combat and bad announcer guy explaining things to me.

Also, really bored with shooting people! ( did I just write that? HA ) I need me some aliens, demons or something else to wreck. Feel like shooting people in video games is for angry teenagers with shaved heads, metal T-shirts and black finger nails.

The Max Payne games were always relatively short, what Rockstar need to do is make a short game for once instead of stretching what should be an 8 hour story over 30 hours of gameplay

How is health handled? Is it still pill-popping to recover health or stupid red HUD and sit in cover to regen?
