I will buy this because Gunpoint.

Loved Gunpoint. Looking forward to more games from this guy.

If anyone's curious, the developer (Tom Francis) is part of a podcast called The Crate and Crowbar. They're hilarious and pretty insightful when it comes to dissecting game mechanics.

Faster Than Hotline Miami Gear Solid

Looks like FTL meets Hotline Miami, looks cool.

I watched this because Gunpoint was awesome.

I'll buy it because it looks awesome in its own right.

This game looks super cool. Looks like Space Pirates and Zombies meets Hotline Miami meets FTL: Faster Than Light. I'll keep my eye on it.

I've been following Tom Francis on YouTube. Still waiting on Grappling hook game lol.

I'm already sold based on the Hotline Miami comparison. If only they can manage a soundtrack that is just as good........

yeah, I have that. I was sort of chastising. I was hoping for Gunpoint 2 with a physics based grappling hook I guess.

Man, I love the style of this demo. Informal, funny, and filled with actual gameplay. So much better than a standard trailer. Other developers should take a cue from this.

I played the game at EGX and they had handwritten leaderboards for the number of missions people completed without dying. The guy before me did 11 missions and topped the leaderboard. I waltz up to the computer and say "well, after he did so well I'm going to end up dying on the first mission". I ended up doing 14 missions and topping the leaderboard for the entire 4 day event.

So, as the worlds number one Heat Signature player, I feel confident in saying that the game is really awesome and I'm super excited for it to come out. It's pretty barebones for now (although the build in this video already looks much further along than the one I played less than two months ago) but it already plays really well, if a bit repetitive. But less repetitive missions will come with time.

Hope the writing is as good as it was in Gunpoint, the writing in that was incredible.

Man, this is so incredibly creative. Of course it's from the guy who made Gunpoint! I'm getting this as soon as it's out.
