Ah, I am so stoked about this game!!

If I hadn't just put down a preorder on Just Cause 2 for PC, I probably would have gone for this (it's too much of an unknown quantity at this point though for me to risk it without reviews whereas the demo of Just Cause 2 sold me hard)

Metro 2033 Actually looks BADASS :P but im always a sceptic... so im holding out for them reviews before i choose to pick it up :)

One review has already come in - Xbox magazine out of the UK gave the game a solid 8/10.

From what ppl have been saying about this game it seems to still have the "made in Russia" problems that most of the games from there have. Meaning uneven graphics and buggs. But thats from pre-release copys so that might have changed. Still its not like a few buggs have stoped me from enjoying a game. After all,  I have played a few Bethesda and Obsidian developed games and they are even buggier then east european developed games.
 
So this might actually be the first eastern european game that I will buy and not just try at a friends house.(not counting finnish games to the eastern european block even though finland is pretty much in eastern europe)

My new ATI 5870 will arrive just in time for this!

Ouch that sound at the end hurt my ears.  Still, I'm stoked for this one.

A magazine that i read in the uk has reviewed this, they gave it an 8 out of 10, citing that it was immersive with a good story, truly terrifying with fantastic firefights
bad points were that its linear and scripted, some wonky combat and that its not for the easily depressed
one thing that did concern me about the game is that its only around 10 hours long so i am wondering about the replay value.
will probably pick it up when its a bit cheaper rather than a day one purchase

i'll wait for the reviews, but my hopes are back up. whoever mentioned the bats flying  when ' the rats were even absent', lol! Those kinds of things add to the odd charm of these east european/russian games. Just have another shot of vodka and forget you saw them...

So never used to subway in the year 2033 because it's really messed up, got it.

Ow, that tone at the end really messed with my ears. Very cool trailer.

seriously when are people just going to record a NEW ONE. i've heard that same damn sound effect for a decade now whenever they need a child giggling in ads movies or games!

Hey GB dudes! How about a quick look? This looks gosh darn interesting.

Looks cool but the trailer really doesn't give much of a feel for the game....  soooo dark.  I'll have check out some gameplay on youtube.
