This game is great. I look forward to replaying it on PC with the new content.

I play it with a controller too because it works very well due to hotkeys not playing too big a role, and looks amazing on my TV.

@m2cks: Probably, I'm sure there are people that want a good RPG on the consoles. Didn't Skyrim and Dragon Age do fairly well on the consoles? And I'm sure there are some people that would be like "GAME OF THRONES WAS RAW, THIS LOOKS LIKE THAT!"

That guy in the beginning looks just like Eric Bana!

I'm looking forward to playing this on a console. I loved the first Witcher, but I couldn't play the second one on my PC because it ran at like 15 frames per second. I strictly adhere to the "30 fps or bust" rule.

Edit: Also, wow, "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings: Enhanced Edition" is quite the mouthful.

Quite reminiscent of Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie.

Absolutely.

The group of dudes I regularly play with on Live is super excited for this game to come out on consoles after hearing me rave about it back when it was first released on PC. I just wish they would've released the first game on consoles as well.

Amazon says 2 dvds.

And if you haven't played the first, they summarize it pretty well.

I thought the same about Dragon Age: Origins, who would play that on a console.

Skyrim and Dragon Age did more than "fairly well" on consoles. For both titles, the 360 version outsold all others, with PS3 coming in second, and PC in last. For as much noise as PC gamers make online, consoles simply speak to a larger audience. With that audience comes a wide array of interests and tastes.

I seriously hope that Giant Bomb crew isnt dissing this game. There are far worse games out there that deserve to be scorned.

Witcher games on the other hand offer real moral choiches and plots that are well developed. For a rpg fan these games are an essential purchase. Though witcher 2 has better controls than the original witcher.

I still think that it is a shame that Giant Bomb crew hasnt reviewed either of these games on the site.

@Deathmachine117: Kinda. It picks up right after the events of the epilogue of Witcher 1, so it assumes you've played it. Then again it also sort of assumes you've read the five or so Polish novels. It does not hold your hand introducing characters like Zoltan or Dandelion or concepts like Witchers or the scoia'tael. You have to pick up a lot through context.

Also, and maybe it's just me, but playing the Witcher games, I felt like some of the tone and/or humor of the dialogue was lost in many spots thanks to some shaky translations. It was a bigger issue for me in the first game, but still persisted to some degree in the sequel.

I just felt numerous times that there was a significant amount of context or emotion missing from some of the interactions because the translation didn't carry the same meaning as it might have had in the original language.

Yeah, that's what I've been waiting for as well. Keep planning on playing through it again but they keep announcing new improvements before I get started. It's worth playing through at least twice because your choices have a HUGE impact on future events and setting. Me and a friend played through it at the same time and had vastly different experiences.

I hope it does well on consoles, it really deserves to. It's a fantastic game and it's pretty damn rare for a developer to churn out a ton of free stuff like they have.

"The Witcher is still coming to console" Heh, that's funny. Because it's just coming to Xbox 360 so it's only one console. So, like, there shouldn't be a plural on the end (aka an S) so it's just it's coming to console. Hah. Heh. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

Ironically, the second game was written in English to avoid that problem - expanding in Polish on that felt easier than cutting down to English.

Well, I guess that explains why it wasn't so bad in W2. Still, though, the writing did feel stilted in parts.

Not that I didn't like the game, I loved it. I loved the first one despite all its issues, and pre-ordered W2 as soon as I was able.

Also, didn't I read somewhere that people who own the game on PC are going to get all the additional content they are producing for consoles, free of charge?

Or was I just dreaming?

Looked at the release info beside the video after it finished, just to make sure I had the right date in mind, only to be frightened by it being listed for May 17. And then the video popped up the true, April 17, date and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Must have Witcher 2 soon. Computer runs it like crap :(

I'm really excited for this. I've wanted to play the witcher 2 for so long but my pc isn't good enough. @Nardak: Also I don't think Giant Bomb is dissing the witcher. They are just making fun of the fact that there have been 4 or 5 trailers put out for the game coming to 360.

I think he might have said a spoiler since it didn't sound like he was going for a curse.
