This Is a Fan Edit of Early Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Gameplay Footage

This doesn't look bad necessarily, it's just that the environment's and cars look way too clean for a zombie apocalypse. But im a sucker for open survival games like these, so im hoping this turns out to be okay..

Quite the opposite actually. He has said before that he wouldn't want a FPS since it doesn't capture what The Walking Dead is about.

The wiki page here says late 2013, so I don't really care about the graphics on the video. That aside, I want to play this about as much as I want to play an FPS X-COM.

It's obviously a Barbie or LEGO game that was hastily turned into a TWD game after the Telltale game's success.

Now, I am really, really over zombie games. I might have one more left in me for Dead Island Riptide, but that's about it. But when I first read the pitch for this game, which was supposedly going to be an open-world survival game with zombies in it, I found myself worried that it might turn out to be a game I would actually want to play, as opposed to the download-only game everyone keeps talking about (not bashing its quality or anything, just saying an adventure game about zombies isn't for me). I now see, with a small amount of relief, that this is going to be every bit as bland and generic as everyone assumed it would be from the start, and I don't have to worry about putting up with more of these damned zombies.
 
Personally, I want to see a dinosaur apocalypse. It's still a hostile, destroyed city full of things that want to eat you, but time-travelling velociraptors haven't been absolutely done to death by this point. :P

The excerpt from Alex's review of that game on the wiki page is classic Alex Navarro, through and through, and people should take a look.

People have tried to remove that excerpt a few times over the years, and I always go and put it back. I don't often agree with Alex's reviews, honestly, but everyone can agree that no one tops the man when it comes to reviewing completely bad games. n_n

Why would people do that?!?! It's awesome! I mean sure, it might not be 100% in the spirit of how wiki pages are supposed to be written...but c'mon. Alex is the king of launching vitriol at games that deserve it, and always a pleasure to read. Maybe if Ryan stopped being so mean to him :P

I had a good laugh when running away from the group of zombies down an alley way, turning around then noticing only one zombie hasn't bugged out and is going down the alleyway, but running away as if 'ohshit' anyway.

You would think the high bar The Walking Dead and hopefully The Last of Us will set would be enough of a nudge to lay off a while. Good. This should help to kill the fervor for zombies The Walking Dead has helped build up.

Seriously guys. WHAT? It's like the early 80's with the Walking Dead around here. One good game, and a market flooded with other craptastic zombie games, just hoping to lure in the masses that don't know any better.

The AI seemed...unfinished. Yeah, zombies shamble, but that scene where he love-taps the zombie in the shoulder to get by looked goofy as shit.

Also the flashlight beam shooting our of his torso seemed lame. I get that it's still in production, but now might not be the time to show all of this. There was no real tension, the mechanics looked unfinished, and visually it was very boring. It's like they said "FUCK! PUT ANYTHING IN GO GO GO!"

This looks like a bad Half Life 2 mod.

This, however, is so bad I feel...kinda sad for the people who are making this.

Someone thought this was good enough to release to the public, who-ever that was has made a very, very bad mistake.

2013's worst game presented by Alex Navarro

It looks like it could be interesting, if they tweak it properly. It seems to be going for something other than balls-out zombie-killing action, which is really refreshing. Sadly, though, the zombies look like playdough and it does seem a bit aimless. It reminds me of Dead Island when Dead Island stopped being fun to play, i.e. the city.

fiddler's green was kinda awesome though.

I am very confused as to exactly what Activision is trying to do with this license. The Walking Dead has always been way more about about the character relationships than fighting zombies. Why they appear to be making a Dead Island style game perplexes me greatly...

Never expected and Activision published game to looks small time compared to something Tell Tale did. It's a cool world we live in now.
