Tons of Dead Orks in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine

Cannot wait for this game. please for the love of (emperor) god let it be good. would love a franchise thats makes the most of the subject matter and ADDS to the universe

I enjoyed the Dawn of War games but Space Marine kind of looks a tad bit ridiculous.

relic games tend to have destructible environments, does anyone know if space marine will have destructible environments

There's no goblins in 40k right?

It's been a long time since I played D&D but in the UK it was spelled Orcs.  I know this isn't  D&D we're discussing here but is this spelling common to both properties now?

I agree with the cover, I don't think it would've worked for the 40k universe. Looks badass!

I've always loved the lore of this series.

Oh 40k and your sillyness, oh you xenophobic Space Marine.  
Game could be ok, if it plays well and they don't mess up the lord like they have done in all there past games, the same way that they over power the Space Marines in the last game and under power everything else. 
Also side note why did they pick Ultramarines, this my just be me and my mates but we find they are me most generic and hated by people that play 40k, that are not 12 years old. Could just be me... 

Anyway here is hoping this game is good. Then they can make a game were you play a good race or at lest a good chapter

I'm glad to have throwback space marine flavor.

It looks like a solid game.

Based off of the gameplay footage, Space Marine doesn't seem like anything special.  Hopefully the game mechanics are more interesting than what they show in the video.

The space marines are supposed to be overpowered both in this game and in DoW2. It's aligned to the fiction rather than the tabletop game as, unless you're making an exact digital version of the physical game, it would be utterly terrible. At no point would you feel powerful or unique in the way that the fiction creates its heroes. 
As for it being an Ultramarine, bear in mind that they are the flagship chapter in the WH40K universe (hence the upcoming UM movie too). Relic will want to pay some fan service but at the same time they don't want to alienate other potential players. Hence generic is better.

Dude, I want this game.  ANOTHER reason I'm getting a new rig this year.

I really really hope they play up everything ridiculous about Warhammer here. The Orkz already look like a good start but I need my angrily xenophobic acid-spitting spess mehreens dammit!
