Whichever of you guys who recommended to play Death Skid Marks, I hate you. That was painful to listen to.

You know what, for how much everyone claims jeff is bitter/jaded, i think just the mere fact that he would sit down for four hours and do this the day before thanksgiving tells me that he probably still really fucking loves his job.

Man, Rorie doesn't react well when he's frustrated. I'm glad he took back his "This game sucks!" statement about Cook Serve Delicious though. That's a great game, and I'm extra defensive of it because of their awesome Ryan reference (that was actually made prior to his passing).

@7x_: Sadly I agree with you. I feel like lately I'm really noticing there isn't anybody around to even out the unrelenting cynicism. Usually I agree with GiantBomb's brand of hating on things (especially Jeff's rants), but this whole stream felt pretty uncomfortable. While I love that GB is real about stuff, at some point I am spending my time and money on people who don't want to be doing what I'm paying to watch them do. I understand that that is almost part of the appeal for things like the Mario Party stream, but tuning in for that attitude is really starting to feel perverse. Basically, I just wish we could go back to embracing videogames FOR their dumbness, and not in spite of it.

7.1GB. This would sound weird anywhere else but here, but I can't wait to watch Jeff for 4 hours. These are always the best, btw, does anyone know where to find the Funky Barn WiiU stream is kept!?!

I think Drew has slid into that role pretty well, approaching most games with an open mind, even if they at first/second/third glance don't appear to be in his wheelhouse. From my limited exposure to him on a few videos and podcasts, Jason also appears to be similarly open-minded. Unfortunately, their roles as the GB video guys means they aren't able to participate as much as Jeff, Brad and Dan.

So I really like Dungeon of the Endless, I just HATE the tone of it. All of the items are super goofy and stupid, and some of the characters are a little 4th wall breaking. So basically I just play it because I like the mechanics, and the art you unlock in the journal, but I try to avoid reading the text descriptions of pretty much everything.

Also it feels really childish that they called the only two difficulties "very easy" and "easy", which are in fact "normal" and "hard". I can't blame Jeff for dying on "easy", because "easy" is actually fucked hard. I feel like the game kinda crosses the line from being cheeky to instead just trolling new players.

This stream was all worth it to hear Rorie say "You said you wanted to try the blaze it 420?"

I had an physical reaction to the tutorial of Death Skid Mark. I'm still hurting from it. The worst humor, super annoying voices and just a poorly structured tutorial.

Also: Am I the only one who finds Rorie's hyper-fast and broad judgements of a game when he's on these streams a little off-putting?

I kinda wish he would've vetoed a few games instead of just playing them at super low energy for like 4-8 minutes. None of these brief looks are going to be all that informative or show off the game very fully, so I'd at least prefer Jeff kinda be having a good time, and not keep playing games he doesn't like.

Like, c'mon, Jeff had little to no interest in playing Tales from the Borderlands (though I imagine someone might do a Quick Look eventually, probably Alex since he has been taking over a lot of review duties from the sort of stuff Ryan used to cover). He gave Fairy Bloom Freesia way more of a shot than it deserved. Mordheim: City of the Damned was kind of a mistake, since you'd be better off watching trailers than watching Jeff play it without really understanding it. He killed Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble super fast, no idea why he even bothered. Death Skid Marks is just awful, and Jeff had even seen it before, yet was still willing to give it another shot. Sunless Sea basically never had a shot on this sort of stream.

I wish he'd played more stuff like Ziggurat (which looked like it played alright and Jeff wanted to be playing it). Dungeon of the Endless was also legit, though I already knew that.

First off, i appreciate the stream, especially being that its the day before Thanksgiving, but honestly i don't like this type of format with you guys asking the chat for game requests, almost none of these games were any good or at least interesting for a stream and your spending so little time with each one that if there is hidden depth or something worth seeing your most likely going to miss it.

Id rather you guys just play what you feel like and spend more time on each game. Just a bit of constructive criticism is all, and i still enjoyed it to a point, just think these could be better. Thanks guys.

I also don't understand @claybrez's view here: What is it you're paying them money to do that they don't want to do? Jeff just did a 4-hour semi-solo stream, he clearly still loves the job.

I'm just saying their attitudes towards what's played on the streams and videogames in general has been pretty dour lately. Granted, some cynicism is totally valid, but when I'm spending hours listening to it I have to question what I'm doing with my time. Don't get me wrong, I love this site and the personalities. I'm just saying it has been a bit much for me personally.

The Cook, Serve, Delicious team changed the name of the corn dog with ketchup to "The Gerstmann" thanks to this stream. @jeff

Edit: It seems to be a rare occurrence. I haven't had it pop up under that name since I wrote this, or I'd take a screenshot.

Dan isn't cynical about those games or genres he is interested in. Step outside those areas, though, and...well, do we need to bring up the 'Metro Redux' Quick Look again? Drew also has his own areas of interest, but he also seems interested in things outside those areas. He seems super excited to learn about or experience new things.

Yeah i have to agree that the cynicism is kind of getting out of control as of late but Dan and Drew are always there to brighten things up(most of the time). These are the times when Vinny would be balancing all the hate out and i miss that the most especially as of late on the Bombcast where Brad has seemingly become someone that is perpetually holding his nose up. It sucks that now Vinny can only be heard with the king of all cynics. Otherwise though everything is great :)

I don't like Borderlands' writing at all. But I feel like the setup in that Telltale game was actually pretty well done and Jeff was kind of unnecessarily harsh.

The characters were still awful, though.

Finally got around to watching this and it was great. Thanks to @jeff & @rorie for sticking it out right before the holiday.

There's a rash of people complaining about the crew just ragging on everything and how it "bums them out." I honestly love their cynicism and take on all of it. Don't change, guys.

Dude, Mordheim looks pretty fucking rad. Not sure how I missed this video. Definitely gonna pick it up on a sale now.

I thought it'd be like the new Space Hulk games or all these weird adaptations of traditional tabletop games that keep showing up on Steam, where it's completely inaccessible and unappealing to anyone but fans of the tabletop version.
