Watch_Dogs Won Many E3 Awards, Apparently

At the very least, it should have been a quote....

At 1:06 it attributes "Best of Show" to Gamespot. Is it possible it was an honest mistake to put it as a GiantBomb quote at the end of the trailer? Unless of course Gamespot didn't say it either, in which case, onward with the pitchforks.

Maybe you guys should do E3 awards then. That's really weird though.

They didn't include my "Most Pointless Use of Aisha Tyler in the Promotional Material" in those accolades anywhere. Maybe when it comes time to edit out all the incorrect awards, they can squeeze that in there as a last-minute replacement?

Giant Bomb is on the Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts box art. At least a second version (not sure if GOTY version or not). That's the only similar thing I'm aware of.

Wow, just when I thought the video game industry has taken me for a spin and can go no where else they go and do this, who ever cut that trailer needs to be fired, well maybe not the guy who cut the trailer, but those qoutes need some fact checking

They don't really claim it's an award, could be an out of context quote as well.

Publishers typically ask permission to use an accolade in a trailer so its doubly strange.

This trailer specifically mentions the limited edition version of the game, which is not coming to the Wii U. So they wouldnt advertise the limited edition as being able to be preordered now, and then show the Wii U version which does not exist.

so whats next, saints row the third saying they won giant bombs 2011 game of the year.

He did specifically say Watch_Dogs was his game of the show on tumblr. Funny enough, it was in the same post that he stated they aren't doing E3 Awards. So someone at Ubisoft must've read that and selectively repressed the rest of the post from memory:

Pretty sure Giant Bomb was in a Hotline Miami trailer, but it only mentioned the 5/5 rating they gave it.
