I usually really enjoy these, but damn if it didn't do it for me this time. I honestly believe all of the whining around the Xbox One and PS4 have really burned me out for a while. Every time I've explained why I am happy for one thing, a thousand people come out of the woodwork to try and convince me that I'm being bamboozled and/or swindled.

Few good details, but heck I dunno what they said, cause Brad freakin talked over everything while doing the weird ear pull thingy.

This press conference felt like a whole lot of nothing. After Microsoft have spent the last couple months doing crazy shit to claw themselves out of the grave they dug for themselves to get back on a level playing field with Sony, and Sony just staying quiet since E3, I was expect them to announce some awesome new stuff. Guess not.

Fuck, man. Weird presentation aside, that was like a press conference designed specifically to appeal to me. Rime and Murasaki Baby look incredible

The best part of this whole thang was Stephen Fry, he's the bro. Big Fest looks really creative, it would be amazing on something like the iPhone if it had like 2D graphics and was redone in other ways for that platform. Rime looks like a top game.

Ya, I got sad thinking about all the new games and experiences Ryan won't be having with them and the general gaming public.

@noizy: I always though James from Gamefront... and potentially even Mitch would be great poaches for the GBcrew. They already work for super cheap, are self reliant, are used to creating tonnes of content, and several complete video walkthroughs a week. Cut out some of the stuff they don't enjoy doing, give them a raise and they would be amazing bang for buck for this site. They spend their free time getting involved with the community via personal youtube channels, and James is a semi-professional comedian. Both edit there own videos for the site, so they are skilled up.

Sort of a "we don't need to be flashy to get your attention, we know we already have that, so here's all these goodies to seal the deal" thing. Viewed through that lens, I think it was successful.

This was quite entertaining. I always love when you do these stream commentaries.

Vinny jokingly being "screen friendly" (not sure what you'd call it. When he does the INTENSE, yet concise showman speak) is not even funny anymore because he's actually really fucking good at it. Like, he sounds exactly like one of those dudes on MTV spitting info at you.

I love Binding of Isaac so much, it's really become a word-of mouth hit I think. I still play it regularly and have well over 100 hours, which for a game that cost less than a fiver including DLC is just nutso. Can't wait to see how Rebirth plays. It's also really super popular on Twitch still, with a lot of channels having found popularity through it, and a tournament that runs called BOILeR which is honestly probably my joint favourite of the vSports to watch alongside Street Fighter (and this coming from a guy who watches Dota, SC2, and even still a little LoL here and there also).

EDIT: Also Generals is my personal favourite entry in the C&C franchise.

This Sony conference was a LOT better than the E3, more relax and laid back. i wish more press conference were more like these

That was great. I knew from the moment I saw the inside of that guy's nose, it was going to be a good show!

Also they kinda did a good job at selling the idea of me wanting a PS Vita. But then at the end of the stream Vinny shows us that the 32gb Vita memory is $80 so, maybe I'll wait for a holiday sale.

I feel like I will be spending more time on my PS4 then my Xbox One this generation (More time then both on my PC, of course.) Hopefully in 10 or so years everyone will just has a SteamStationBoxU and we can just play everything on it. A guy can dream, can't he?

Meanwhile, they barely have any exclusives worth playing. Second Son still looks good, The Order 1886 still has my interest and Shadow of the Beast looks interesting. Killzone isn't for me. You can call those indie games exclusive if you want, but I'm playing almost all of them right now. Additionally, they will be coming to Xbox One later on anyway.

I don't get it. Was saying: 'we care about you, the consumer' really the thing that made PS4 take the lead? They only said it too, I don't see anything that backs that up. Customer support is still shit compared to Microsoft's. At least in my experience.

Maybe I am just not getting the complete love for one and complete hate for the other. They seem to be on equal ground on paper and as far as games go - the thing I care about - Xbox One is in the lead if you ask me.

Seriously, who's dumb idea was it to keep cutting from the direct feed to crowd shots. WHY would anybody want to watch a sea of silhouettes and laptop screens with video footage of cool stuff playing in front of them. It makes no sense!!

Maybe not the right word, but the point still stands: The developers used a lot of time and resources developing GT5, so it makes a lot of buisness sense using a lot of those same assets (and the same engine) making GT6 pretty soon after GT5, and on the same system. And maybe they can actually update the interface, I agree with Jeff that everything around the game makes it feel like it was developed in a hospital or something - that interface is sooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaad.

Still really like GT5 though.

@zevvion: Yeah, as GB (and especially Brad) has said time and time again, launch lineups, even if you count the "launch window", are more or less never good. Aside from maybe Second Son (didn't really care for Infamous 1 and 2, so I'm still a bit sceptical), nothing Sony has shown has interested me that much. A couple of the indie games look cool, but...eh. Same goes for MS (Titanfall looks cool as fuck, but I can still get that on my PC).

When you're buying a console, you're buying it for the promise of it turning good. I trust Sony more than Microsoft on this, given the 360's pretty pathetic lineup these past couple of years, but not by that much. I don't give a shit about being able to play PS4 games on the Vita (what's the range of that thing, anyway?).

It'll be interesting to see how the Vita performs now, after the price drop. Personally, I don't think it'll matter that much: the main reason people didn't buy it was the lack of games, and I don't think Sony has done much about that. A couple of indie games announced for the thing, some of the console games being developed for the Vita etc. I think it's too little, too late. But it would be cool if the thing takes off, it's a great device. I just don't think there's a market for a handheld like the Vita anymore.

Yeah, I'm liking all the ports that are coming to the Vita - Hotline Miami is perfectly playable on it.... but it ain't the best on Vita. It.... just ain't.
