Vinny's fight against Jabba was hilarious.

This makes me more bummed that they aren't doing a consistent feature, though that ending...

hahah I did the same as Vinny. Rescued the pyromancer lady and she was complaining about only having rags so I gave her prisoners tatters and she was pretty happy about it.

I only had a helmet to spare at the time and she showed up in Majula wearing underwear and a solid steel helmet. It was the best.

The best part about this game - I'm about in between Brad/Vinny on time spent and level, but I've gone through entirely different areas and have very different items. Went well past where Vinny was today with Jabba, but haven't touched the spider area or the curse area. So much to do, so little time to play.

Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking while Brad was fighting it. Would've been satisfying to see her thunk her head on the stone.

I actually find backstabs a lot easier to get in this game.

Wish this would have been a more daily feature

Not to be an ass, but Brad complaining that he doesn't have time to play this because of "reviews" when he only has reviewed The Last of Us DLC is super fucking weird to me. Maybe it was just an expression, but still... Otherwise what a great show. I really enjoy Rories commentary and Vinnys and Brads different playstyles, especially since my char is a dex/mag build while they are both focusing on a pure str build.

@sterling: i don't think most people know that rolling into/attacking hidden doors doesn't work anymore, you either need to find the pharros thing or some of them just open by pressing the "use" button on them

Nah, I prefer it if it's a weekly thing. Wouldn't be much to talk about if it was something they would have to do everyday.

That trap chest is the kind of thing that's putting me off trying Dark Souls, the whole "nothing I can do about it" kind of death really sucks. Still the blood signs next to it are a bit of a giveaway, so I'll probably overlook it

You can block the arrow traps and roll away from the poison traps. There are no unavoidable trap chest deaths.

There are no "nothing I can do about it" deaths in this game.

Vinny's boss fight was one of the easiest I had the entire game so far, but what happens to him might make this the best GB video I have seen in a long time. I wish he would have read my message just before that boss fight though, "Beware of Gorgeous View Ahead". The other place I wanted him to accidentally run into is that little path to the right, just before he let lose that dark sorcerer giant behind the wall. It would have been amazing because that area was probably the most intense place I've been because I ran in there without a clue and boy what a surprise From had in store for me.

Was Vinny's character a female before being eaten because it is afterward? Some have found there may be a gender switch after being eaten. Which seems awesome.

Bosses, no matter how large, still give you souls automatically. A few bosses don't give souls.

I like watching Brad play Souls games...and I also don't like it. I both enjoy it and cringe...I don't know why. Watching him fight the lionmen was kind of hilarious.

You need the ring of whipsers to talk to the scorpion guy. You can also hear all the half en half beasts in the area. "I think these guys will aggro." No Brad...they won't.

@delam: No, but the coffin in Things Betwixt does do a gender swap. You can just get in and gender swap as often as you want I think.

There are still doors that you have to attack. I can think of five off the top of my head. Its the fact he tired all three methods and it didn't work. Then proceed to keep trying like it would just magically work 3 minutes later after the 40th attempt. What kind of logic is that?

I think the reason why Vinny took so much damage when he slid down that silk was because when on that edge it counts as him falling. So because he's at such an acute angle, he's not sliding very far, but there may be a fall counter that's ticking down which equates to health lost.

AKA it's like he was falling straight down as he was gradually going down the slope.

That depends on what your definition of "nothing I can do about it" really is. There are several enemies that will lock you into animations that you can't escape and very often result in death unless you have a ton of health - like for instance the Mimic Chests. Just yesterday I opened a mimic chest with full health, and it simply chomped me to death. There was quite literally nothing I could do about what was happening and I'm level 95.

I could have hit the chest with my sword to test it beforehand, but if the only option to avoid inescapable animation death is to simply never get hit, then that is not enough. A binary margin of error of is not "margin" at all.

@humanity: You could have done something about that though. You attack each chest with an attack. The lifebar then shows up if it's a mimic. Then you back the hell up and hit it at a range or stick and move. Like every enemy in the game.

What could he have done about the chest then? He hit it once. If the solution was the use the blood signs, then that's pretty weak. There are plenty of "nothing you can do about it" deaths in the game. It's still a fun game to play, you just have to accept that you will get frustrated with it sometimes.

Still, I enjoy this feature and the only thing it makes me want to do is play Dark Souls II.
