Weapons Are Everything In WET

Never thought I'd see this one to be honest.

Chaining between the 3 moves was impossible, but I still had fun with the general aiming, combo multiplier, sword, and animations. Oh, and Stranglehold was rubbish, because of godawful and claustrophobic level design. This game doesn't have that game-breaking problem. 

Yea it looks a lot like Stranglehold. I liked Stranglehold, but not enough to buy it. The car parts remind me of wheelman actually.

The demo was definitely underwhelming (aiming in this game is terrible) but I can see it being fun in short bursts.

Yeah this game seems like it's way too full of itself. They make it sound really cool, but just watching this makes me say exactly what everyone else is saying "meh"

Being able to look at the people who made this game makes it harder to talk crap abouit it. I don't want to shit all over it, but this all looks like its been done. Nothing new, more of the same.

What the fuck is wrong with you people!? don't you like fun!? the demo was hella fun! if you found the targetting hard, well then no one can help you.
 
i guess you all just hate games that try and have a good "slo-mo" time, so whatever, yeah it doesnt try anything radically new, but can you really expect everything to be groundbreaking? honestly? messed up priorities if so. akin to what i said earlier, i didn't expect anything else from the general consensus of this community.

I thought it was ok, and the Ruby Vision was cool, but that the secondary targeting was random and the car shooting was tedious.

I can have a little fun from the demo and come to terms with the game not doing much new but it's pretty clear to me that, at it's current price, $50 is better spent elsewhere.

After playing the demo I can safely say that this game is pretty bad, or more accurately bland and boring. The game-play is repetitive and the graphics are so bad this could be a PS2 game. The art style does nothing for me because there is absolutely no originality in it, it's like they watched a bunch of Tarantino movies and said "hey guys, lets make a character action game based on somebody elses ideas". The only thing this game has going for it is Eliza Dushku, she is super hot but if I really wanted to watch something worthwhile with Eliza Dushku in it I would watch Dollhouse.

this game should have been a summer filler release. Looks pretty boring and something i would play to waste a hot summer day.

Because an anti-hero is very original.

Is it just me or was everything that Eliza Dushku said in that clip complete and utter gibberish? She was just stringing random unrelated verbs together in parts of it.

Played the Wet demo recently - didn't like, made me feel like I was playing Max Payne or Stranglehold.  Both perfectly fine games but I really don't want to want to play that kind of game anymore..

Game looks really good though. I liked Stranglehold for what it was, and the level design looks really sweet in Wet. I wonder though how open the car chase scene will be: looks quite a bit like a rail-shooter with some quick-time -- jump here -- type gameplay.
 
 And anything in the same vein as No More Heroes gets on my radar. Hopefully they deliver.
