Street Fighter X Tekken huh? Totally forgot about this.

Might just be because I haven't played of watched much SF4 lately, but does this game move way snappier ? I mean there's combos where you barely even see the hits.

i cant wait for the no less than 3 TNTs for this game, and the inevitable re-release later this year

Oh yeah this is way faster than SFIV, it's kind of a middle ground between SFIV and MvC3

I will be playing this game also.

Not buying it but will look forward to the upgraded edition in the Fall/Winter. Gotta have something to hold me over until we get another MK...

Once one fighter's life bar goes down the round is over. Ugh. I had assumed Capcom knew how to make a tag game.

I have been known to get caught up in the crossfire.

The coloring stuff is more akin to what they did in Tekken 5 and 6 customization wise.

I kept waiting for Jeff to go Bob/Sagat.

Is it just me, or do all of the "Ask Me Anything" or "What It Is" videos have Brad? Not that I'm complaining.

Those trucks are called dekotora, IIRC. There's an episode of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain where he talks about them; he has some funny things to say.

The designers of this game didn't tiptoe around making awesome bgs. Loved the deko truck stage.

Capcom can only make one game with the Tekken name, so i wouldn't bet in Super/Ultimate/Arcade edition. EDIT: Also, i see no Mokujin in there! WTF!

i would consider that good news then. I can buy this without worrying about a re-release.

May get it on Vita tho anyway.

Besides the exclusive characters, is there any advantage to the PS3 version over the 360 version? I have both systems and XBL Gold, so the cost isn't an issue.

Is it just me but, the Tekken characters look damn goofy. I know thats the motive of the design, but it looks weird as a Tekken player. Paul looks weird, Heihachi looks OKISH, but also weird.

I actually won't know how the gem system affects gameplay until I'm able to get it in my hands, but I find the visual effects pretty distracting. The characters have really great art, too bad it is obscured by a red or yellow glow.

It seems like it is more difficult for the guys to keep a good flow going while they are speaking in a reactive manner.

I'm not sure about these "What It Is" videos....

I'm not sold on the gem system yet but I'm willing to give it a try. However I feel like showing their activation by having the characters glow looks unelegant (in fact I find the whole aesthetic of the game kinda ugly).

Game looks great, like the idea of the gems. Should be a blast.

Same here. I'm really interested to see how Tekken X Street Fighter plays. It's taken me years to realize but I've decided that the Street Fighter control method and I don't get along too well. Quarter-circle this, half-circle that... Not to whine too loudly but I can't even consistently finish UMvC3 on Easy. That's not to say I'm amazing at Tekken 6 (far from it) but at least when I'm playing Tekken I don't feel like the control scheme is getting in my way.

TL;DR - I'm interested in hearing more about Tekken X Street Fighter.

Yeah, I found myself strangely drawn to just staring at that thing to try to figure out what all was on that thing.

Tekken has Quarter Circle and Half Circle inputs for a lot of important moves too. It's just easier to avoid them at the lowest level since everyone has like 100 moves and most are pretty basic to perform.

I hate the art style a lot. I never was a fan of how goofy the SF4 games looked and this one seems to be going for an even goofier look. Going to take a wait and see approach on how the gameplay turns out before deciding on a purchase, but my hopes aren't that high. Pretty down on this one.

I love the way the first fight, at least (not finished yet), goes in stages - like as if it's a real fight or something, they seem to make round 2 and 3 more meaningful in a way and it's cool that they've found a way to do that in the insane worlds of Street Fighter and Tekken. With stuff like this and Mortal Kombat's story mode, it's cool to see fighting games adding a bit more weight to the gameplay, a bit more jeopardy for the character and the story.
