You Can Surf On Hoverjets in Saints Row: The Third

Been waiting for hoverboards in video games.

This is just icing.

This... is my most anticipated game of the year. The current sea of mediocrity and sameness, only this could be my salvation with the absolute ridiculousness and over the top action that I crave... Oh please don't dissapoint me SR3.. please...

Why not indeed. Also this is pretty tame compared to some of the other stuff you can dissect the sheer concept of insanity with.

Finally, a Saints Row game worth getting excited about.

I've always hated the GTA games because they are so slow. This seems right up my alley.

That would be a mistake, as it would seem like they're trying to compete with this game.. which they very certainly are not.

The same thing happened to me. I was planning on picking this up next year but after hearing the guys talk about it I went ahead and pre-ordered it from Amazon. I even sold a friend and my girlfriend on it today after telling them about it.

The more I look into this game's trailers and news, the more I think that in every stage of the development, from story-board to pre-Alpha to Beta to Gold, every single person in Volition smoked pot and crack. Oh and by the way - Strap it ON!

I love that they are completely leaning into the insanity to separate themselves from GTA.

It's a good thing she parachuted onto the jet, because I was about to say "big deal".

This was completely off my radar before. But a dose of insanity might be good between all these super serial games coming out.

I just put on a fake dick in order to get ready for this game.

And... why is that, exactly? I'm getting really tired of people acting like these are competing franchises, and you're only allowed to like/buy one or the other. I bought and enjoyed both SR2 and GTA IV, and intend to do the same with SR3 and GTA V.

Saints Row is about stupid fun and ridiculous action while GTA is about character drama. It's like comparing Crank or Shoot 'Em Up to Scarface. They're completely different other than being sandbox crime games.

The talk about this on the bombcast and the interns' half-hour video of the start of the game has blown my mind. Game of the Year, Any Year.

Dude, calm down. I just want more GTA V footage and info. I didn't start the GTA/Saints Row comparisons, but if it gets the devs competitive and they start going at each other, I'll gladly sit by and reap the benefits.

"This is so fuckin' cool" is probably one of the biggest understatements of the year.

More I see of these ads more I'm sold on idea that I have to check this game out, I really hope that the game is good too.

I truly cannot figure out if this game is something I will like or not.

@LoktarOgar: Saints Row 2 predates Just Cause 2 by about two years. So actually, Just Cause took a page out of the Saints Row book.

The first Just Cause had "STUNT POSITION" though, for sure. I think the first Saints Row came out after that, too. I can't recall if the first Saints game had roof surfing though, like 2 did.

@dvorak: Just Cause's "stunt position" didn't have anything to do with surfing on top of planes. That was Saints Row 2.

What is the point of all this Hype when they are already working on Saints Row 4 with claims of a new engine and even crazier things?

I wasn't interested the previous Saint's Rows, but damn, this looks pretty fun. I might have to get it if I have the money and time.
